There aren't too many that you even need to worry about. Most of them aren't actually celebrated, and if they are, it probably isn't in any way related to the actual event. For most people, a holiday means a day off from school or work.
But if you just want the ones you're likely to hear about, I think you're safe if you have Christmas and Valentine's Day under your belt.
Just about any holiday can be linked to another through commercialism. These two are the prime offenders in that regard, as well.
You see, Christmas might be the only time of the year where you can actually buy someone's affections in the hopes that they'll stick around long enough to repeat the process for Valentine's Day.
While it's true that they are being cleverly tricked, I happen to think that's giving them too much credit. In fact, speaking of credit, I'm sure the idea wasn't theirs to begin with, but don't ever try to tell them that. They just might make a new holiday to solidify their authority on festivities.
But if you just want the ones you're likely to hear about, I think you're safe if you have Christmas and Valentine's Day under your belt.
