[has been wandering, like she does, when she comes across the familiar figure, and--JFC]

[ his blood boils when he hears her voice; it's hot and bitter and the cuts and lacerations from the red threads burn and he winces in pain, and yet... something smells good. he slowly gets up, letting his soaked jacket fall off him. ]

... I forgot about... you...

[tilts her head slightly, confused by his words until she remembers something odd was supposed to be happening in camp. and she reaches out slowly, her eyes focused on the various exposed wounds, concern for him at the forefront of her mind above all else even as the smell of blood threatens to make her ill.]

What happened? Are you--should I get a doctor?

[ digs his fingers into the cuts around his wrists, opening them up and they ooze blood... and then licks it off his fingers ]

No. Don't go.

[ smiles widely, sharp teeth stained with red. ]

[she freezes like a deer in headlights, goosebumps crawling up her arms, and she tries to call his name, but her voice has died in her throat]

Come here. I haven't seen you in days.

[ approaching really quickly ]

[kjhdxfa stumbles back a few steps, hands out in front of her, her heart hammering in her chest]

H-Hijikata-san--!

[ his eyes darken and he lunges for her, fangs bared ]

[can't quite stop herself from screaming]

[ he doesn't just bite her to feed - he begins to tear her neck open and blood sprays everywhere; he laughs manically as he drinks, tearing and chewing and even the white of his teeth as he grins is stained red. ]

[well, that's horrific. although at the rate he's going, the pain doesn't last long as her body numbs from shock and blood loss. she tries to grab onto him, but with her strength gone, her hand falls limply at her side. and she breathes one last time, then dies in his arms.]
