ITP: Your best and worst moments.

Nov 17, 2011 11:48

[TODAY IN THE CENTER OF CAMP, YOU HAVE A HOLOGRAM SCREEN IN FRONT OF YOU.

THIS SCREEN WILL BROADCAST YOUR BEST AND WORST MOMENTS, IN CAMP OR IN CANON. I hope you don't have any secrets you were trying to hide. I also hope you haven't forgotten your best and worst moments.

Because that surely would suck.]

[Two for the price of one: A nine year old Tiffany is bringing her three year old brother to play by a stream--the reason for which becomes clear as she pulls back into the bushes and waits as the water seems to grow darker . . . And a monster with huge eyes and teeth pops out of the stream to take the bait. There is a resounding CLANG as Tiffany steps out and whacks the monster in the face with a frying pan.]

*looks at it critically* I suppose I could have done something else . . .

The ends justify the means, hm?

Something like that. There might have been other ways, but I did what I could.

[giggle] I'm not sure whether to be surprised or not.

You shouldn't--it was my first step towards becoming a witch.

I had thought your idea of what makes a witch would be a little different.

It has been what it always has been--someone who does what is necessary.

[Yes--you can have morals and still be pragmatic as heck to get things done.]

Hm. Interesting.

Is it? I thought you should have seen more of it after so long.

Of course I have, but I was under the impression that your version of a witch was a bit more sugar and fluff.

[. . . I wonder if you think having your arm up a sheep's uterus or burying dead babies is "sugar and fluff"?]

What made you think that?

[... considering who you are talking to...]

Just an impression from talking. Houses made of frogs and such.

That was an extreme example. Things can get messy when witches get twisted and start to abuse their magic.

[Frog abuse is serious business.]

... See, it's when you say things like that.

. . . I might not be using the right words.

Magic on the Disc can be used to redefine things. A witch should know better than to do things like make food out of magic or turn people into frogs. It will become twisted in the end no matter how good the witch's intentions were.

[looks as though she's formulating a response, but then just sighs] Well, forget it. I think the worlds we're from are just too different.
