I married her to Roland, the local baron.

[More specifically, I married a potential witch to my not-boyfriend because the land thought it would be a good idea.]

No--they were already engaged to be married. I just married them before the actual official wedding ceremony.

Don't they have to agree to something like that?

. . . We were in a bit of a hurry and the fire was right there.

What does a fire have to do with it?

Jumping the fire is a very old marriage ceremony.

I still don't understand why she was upset if she had to agree to it and they were already engaged.

She wasn't upset. They were just . . . surprised.

Hn. At least it was resolved.

Oh yes--it was a good ending.
