[ shifts his head back against Charles' hand a bit, but the slight change in position seems to do the trick and he is quiet ]

*gently cradles his head, fingers curling a bit, and also settles again. it's been a long time since he's had anyone in his bed this way -- to say nothing of anyone who has stayed the night and is likely to be seen again after the morning, who could say when that last happened (has it ever?) -- but he rests with this as though he's done it all his life and there couldn't be any other way.*

[ it's been mentioned that he doesn't sleep in the same bed with anyone, ever. which is probably why it's taken a few tries to get this right, but right now, it doesn't seem like he'll be waking up any time soon. ]

[ Erik hasn't changed his position much throughout it -- perhaps a bit more on his stomach now, from when his side started to go numb, but otherwise...

as always, it's not a long transition from sleep to waking, though it certainly goes more smoothly than in the past. he opens his eyes and that is definitely daylight outside the window. funny that he finds that more disorienting than anything else. ]

*stirs at the brightness that flows into his mind when Erik opens his eyes*
