[ You have one (1) whip-toting camper glaring at a toucan.

It glares back. Then it grabs something from under its wing and drops it by Franziska's feet.

Ewww... is this supposed to be pie? It's all wriggly and disgusting and undead. She didn't even know pie could be undead. ]You foolishly foolish foolishly bird brained foolish fool of a fowl! ( Read more... )

Yes. Am I allowed to burn this monstrosity or should I just let it skitter towards the forest?

As...tempting it might be to burn it, I think it would be best to leave it be for the moment. Things are not as harmless as they may appear to be.

It's just a sentient pie. What's the worst that could happen?

It's best not to question that here.

Well, I'm questioning it now so tell me.

I have never run across sentient pie myself, but the fact that the pie is sentient is in and of itself something to be wary of. Seemingly innocent objects here have a way of turning out to be far more dangerous than what one would expect.

Hmph! What's the worst that could happen? It'll run off to its grizzly pie mother, who'll destroy the camp in a fit of rage?

It may very well happen here.

Yes.

I see. I am not the most informed on the particular peculiarities of camp, but it would be to your benefit to know that this place does not follow the conventional rules of reality. This camp obeys neither the laws of physics nor logic.

How could a place that doesn't obey, of all things, the laws of logic exist? That's illogical!

Very much so. And yet, would you consider that pie to be in the realm of things that are logical? I understand this is difficult to accept, but the present reality ought to be proof enough that there is something wrong here.

It could be controlled by tiny nanobots. Or it could be a toy.
