SUDDENLY: MISTLETOE.

Well gosh! It's all so festive, y'all!

[TODAY, there is mistletoe everywhere. Hanging over obnoxious cabin overhangs, planted in inappropriate spots in the mess hall, twisted around various poles and the few trees in farm camp - you name it, you can probably find it there.

[just ... watching. Despite being in camp for nearly a year he is never sure how to deal with non-humanoids.]

[This human seems somewhat hesitant, so you extend a hand for a polite and friendly handshake.]

[shaking awkwardly. Not sure if you can speak]

[You nod to acknowledge the human's introduction and point to your dashing MAYORAL SASH to identify yourself.]

Mayor? I guess that's cool. Are your people with you?

[You nod and point to a nearby corn field. The inexplicable shuffle a little closer to the human.]

[kyaaptain]

[staring warily out into the corn, expecting an army of small Mayor lookalikes to come wading through it]

[The human seems to be very impressed by your corny citizens. You are filled with MAYORAL PRIDE as you draw even closer to him.]

[suddenly noticing how close you are. Small smile]

You okay?

[waylaidvagrant]

[You nod, but somehow can't stop staring into his eyes once he faces you. How odd!]

[kyaaptain]

[It is oddly difficult to break eye contact. Vaguely wondering if the good Mayor is using some kind of mind control on him, but doesn't look away]

[This is very strange. You begin to suspect this human of some manner of mind-trickery as you stand on the tips of your toes and lean up and forward. Perhaps he is a wizard.]

[slowly leaning in towards you, though not sure why. Perhaps the fear that you might blow his head off with telekinesis if he doesn't comply]
