Happy December, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, everyone in between and on the outside. As you've probably noticed, this month has brought back that holiday camp tradition of mistletoe. Which, naturally, ain't your daddy's mistletoe, and let me tell you, it ain't your mother's either, and I would know ( Read more... )

Glad you approve, Professor. Always good to squeeze in a little bit of learning, right?

How've you been since everyone thought that the world was going to end?

Oh, you know. Spontaneously de-aged two decades for nearly a month. Several campers informally under my supervision structurally destroying their cabin. The usual. Yourself?

Same old, same old. Lost my Doctor but somehow still have a TARDIS. Don't ask me how that works. It's probably not actually there, or it's there but at a different point in time or something wibbly-wobbly like that.

What was it you had said about it? "Bigger on the inside"?

That's it exactly.

It feels strange without him, doesn't it?

...hah. Am I that obvious?

I'm afraid so.

Well... it's really weird. Really damn weird. It's like living in someone else's home when they've gone away, only... more. Like being in their clothes. Walking with their shadow. Only they're gone, which isn't so strange, but they've left a sense of waiting because you can't possibly stay where you are. Not gonna lie, it's messing with my head a little. Obviously, since even you're picking up on it and I know that I'm...

Honestly, you're not so bad as all that. It's something I've... seen before. So I have a bit of past experience to go off of.

You're finding ways to keep yourself occupied, though, which they say is quite healthy.

*leaning against one of the handles of Charles's chair*

I'm a healthy, growing boy. Not as busy as I could be, though.

Okay, you're neither Leto nor one of the carnival people. Is there a fourth double or only you three?

Normally only three! There was a short period of chaos, however, when there was a whole influx of people for just a very concentrated span of time, and three others joined us then. Including one who was actually the same as me.

...well, really, I suppose there were four, if we count the garden gnome.

The worst part of that is that I can follow the logic... except for the garden gnome, I don't get that part.

I mean... he was a garden gnome. But the voice was the same, and there was the feeling of... sameness. Except, you know. Garden gnome.

And you? Do you make a habit of hunting doubles?
