Ferdy! I have a new costume for you!

[Ferdy chooses ignore.]

*marches right up to him*

You're messing up your perfectly nice clothes by fighting with a horse!

[You might be between Ferdy and a very pissed horse right now...]

*completely unmoved as she grabs for the nearest bridle*

Oh please--you really need to take care of your horse and emu better . . .

*dodges neatly* There now, we'll get you away from Ferdy the Emu . . .

And maybe get you some carrots since sugar is out of the question . . .

[Trying to fling her to the side and lashing out with hooves.

But... pauses some at the mention of carrots.]

Yes--a treat the emu cannot enjoy.

[Stares at and then yanks back, biting the rein with her teeth in order to pull them free. But at least she's not kicking or snorting.]
