*sees you and your nosiness but doesn't really mind*

It's something familiar from home.

A card? You're able to get mail from home?

It's not from the people at home.

Then what is it?

It's holiday greetings for a holiday that doesn't exist here. Possibly from Camp or someone who knows about it.

*the card might say "Happy Hogswatch" and feature these guys on it*

...That's a bit creepy. What's Hogswatch?

It's only Death dressed up as the Hogsfather.

It's the winter solstice festival. A long time ago, it marked the passing of mid-winter, but now, people give each other presents and get rascally drunk.

[Going off on a tangent about the ancient winter solstice rituals makes you look even more morbid, Tiffany.]

Perhaps. It's mostly about the cycle of the seasons in the end.

[You must be one of the cynical . . .]

Seen from that angle, it might be suspicious, but it's good incentive for people to behave.

[I'm cranky about everything. ...Except Sempai]

Bribing people into good behavior, hn. It's a bit depressing that things have come to that.

[Is that not the basis of most things in the world?]

Ah, but parents do it all the time.
