[There is no sunrise today. The only light comes from Camp's buildings, and it seems flashlights are still banned.

On the doors to the Mess Hall and the library are other notes:

[There is a set of eyes shining with green light, and they are coming in your direction. From their distance off the ground, whatever they belong to must be as large as a person.]

[What do you do?]

(ooc: open to jumping by anyone!)

Perhaps it could, and yet again, perhaps not. They speak of other worlds here, different versions of the same. This Anders is the one we know, but he's also not -- just as you and Hawke are the same and yet also different from the ones I remember.

This Anders does not have Justice. Without Justice, I find it unlikely things would have turned out the same. Whatever we do to this Anders... I don't believe it would change what happened.

Nor do I believe in punishing someone for the crimes of another, even if it is another version of themselves.

That he claims the demon perished in an assault on the Warden keep in Ferelden, and does not carry it within him, is a large part of why I stay my hand. I do not make the mistake of trusting him, but it is clear he has not yet fallen prey to the weakness of the man we knew.

I wonder... in a world without the destruction of the Chantry, what finally does push Meredith to the brink?

The idol alone, most likely. Look at Bartrand. I . . . presume dealing with Bartrand also went poorly in your version of our world.

I'd say being dead is about as poorly as it can get.

Yes, that would be how it went for us as well.

It's odd, to have so much be the same, and then certain things entirely different. I can't say I understand it.

And I would be lying if I said that I did, myself. Perhaps you remember the assassin, Arainai? He was briefly here, and said that the Champion he met was one Garrett Hawke.

It is all far too strange for me to understand it.

Hawke told me about that, albeit not how she found out. At least it seemed to amuse her.

Yes, it would. And yet, apparently, that Hawke was also accompanied by me. Some things, it seems, remain constant.

Hmm, I'd be wary of making assumptions.

[As someone who's probably used to it by now?]

...you know, as much as I love your eyes, one of these days, someone's going to zap you by mistake.

[Fenris snorts as he comes to a halt by her] You speak as if it has not happened already.
