Character: Fluttershy
Series:
My Little Pony: Friendship is MagicCharacter Age: … Pony?
Canon: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is a shockingly addictive television series adaptation of the titular line of toys, centering on Twilight Sparkle and her group of pony compatriots as they explore various aspects of friendship. The four-legged friends live in the wondrous, magical, and often inconsistent land of Equestria. It is a place where nature is nurtured, weather means manual labor, and the teeming, generally intelligent wildlife apparently need a caring hoof to keep on going.
This hoof is often seen belonging to the pegasus pony Fluttershy, just about the most timid being Ponyville has to offer. Wielding the Element of Kindness (for all of one episode), her caring and well mannered outlook shines through... when she’s not scared out of her wits. She’s very easily startled, often beyond the point of functionality, so oftentimes even the most irrational things will intimidate her, her own shadow included. Despite this, she has an uncanny knack for communicating with and looking after wild animals, and they tend to provide an opening for her confidence to take hold, even with the great terrible ones (as long as it’s not a big scary teeth gnashing fire breathing smoke snoring dragon). Still, Fluttershy can overcome any of her self-imposed obstacles should the desperate need arise, facing up to the most demonic of foes if her friends are in danger. She can do anything she puts her mind to... so long as she doesn’t put her mind to it.
Sample Post: W-where am I? This doesn’t look like Ponyville. And all these strange creatures, walking on their hind legs... Well, shambling I guess, but they’re so... Um, hello? Excuse me, can I just, is everything... can somepony tell me where I am? I-i seem to have gotten lost someplace, and I don’t know where I can find a way back, or something. Oh no, what am I to do, this place is creepy and ahhh what was that I have to get out of here!!
Oh! I’m so sorry I bumped into you like that, I was just trying to go... ah, what are you? You’re... looking kind of frail actually, are you ok? I’m sorry, I’m not quite sure what you are, but is it normal for you to be so... hollow? I mean, no offense, but I can kind of see through you. Did something do this to you? It wasn’t me, was it? Oh, you can speak... well, sort of. Don’t over-do it, you’re obviously not very well at all. Was it that kraken on top of the tower over there? No, don’t speak, just try to indicate, that’s it, don’t shake your head too hard - ahhh!!
Is that... your jaw? Oh no! We’ll have to fix this, right away! Now, just lay down, that’s it. Um, excuse me, Mr Toucan? Do you have any bandages? Thanks. Ooh, I also need some thread and a needle. Scalpel, stat. Clamp, stat. Blowtorch, stat. … Is that a duck? I’m sorry, I was asking for aaaaaah! D-did it just breathe fire? Oh... Ok, if I just hold it like this, clamp its mouth tight like thish, amd shqueesh... Pah. There, thank you Mr Duck. Ohh kay, now to just finish it up... There. How does that feel? Um, yes, you’re going to have some difficulties pronouncing until it heals, but you should be right as rain in no time.
Yes, rain. I said rain, yes... Why do you keep on saying rain? Oh dear...
Poll Vote! Character: Male Protagonist (His name is “Arisato Minato” in the manga, so that’s what will probably be used.)
Series: Persona 3
Character Age: 16-17
Canon: At the stroke of midnight, all electronic appliances suddenly shut off; the sky turns an eerie shade of green and all water becomes blood-red This is the Dark Hour, a "hidden" hour between one day and the next. The only forms of "life" during this time are Shadows, creatures who feed on humans, turning them into mindless drones. Only a select few are aware of the Dark Hour: Persona Users, those with the the ability to summon a "Persona", a manifestation of one's psyche that protects its user. And so a band of teenagers is tasked with battling Shadows for the sake of humanity, led by our main character here.
A transfer student who arrived at the beginning of his second year of high school, he’s a quiet, yet capable person, able to adapt to just about any situation quickly in a calm and efficient manner. Though he seems unemotive and aloof, his friends call him "Leader" for a reason -- he is a strong pillar of support for those around him, being decisive and able to make strong calls in difficult situations. Outside of battle, however, he's rather passive and easy-going, rarely voicing his opinions unless asked. However, to his friends, he's a kind and gentle person who’ll help anyone who asks without complaint, always willing to lend an ear when someone is troubled, and generally worries more about others than himself. Of course, even he can get slightly exasperated at times. In a sense, he's surprisingly straightforward, despite appearances.
NOTE : Much of his general personality is taken from the drama CDs.

When I came to, the first thought that popped into my mind was whether I was still dreaming or not. For one thing, I'd never seen so much corn before in my life. For another, I'd never seen a purple gorilla before either. Of course, zombies are completely out as well. But, in the end, I think what really made me question reality was the fact that I was seeing all this from over a hundred feet in the air while being held upside-down by a very large tentacle. … Suffice to say, I was very wide awake by that point. Or still dreaming. Either or, I guess.
Apparently, the tentacle’s owner’s name is Marcy. Ah, the reason I know that is because a little bird happened to tell me. That is, not metaphorically, but telepathically. I don’t really get it myself, but whatever. It seems that the bird took it upon itself to translate what she (I think it’s a she, anyway) said, and vice versa.
… She was lonely, or so I was told. Apparently, she moved some time ago. And, while she’s grown very attached to her silo, she hasn’t received too many visitors since the move. I’m assuming the height might have something to do with that. Though, apparently, she didn’t actually have that many visitors before the move either. I’m assuming the tentacles might have something to do with that. … Either way, she wouldn’t get many visitors anyway, but... Well, for now, I think I’ll keep that part to myself. In any case, I decided to stick around and listen to what she had to say. Not that I really had a choice in the matter to begin with.
We talked about a number of things. Like how the farm’s air is much cleaner and less radioactive compared to the swamp she apparently used to live in, or how it’d been so long since she felt the warmth of another creature that wasn’t either partially decayed or misplaced/miscoloured African wildlife. At some point, she offered to let me stay with her in her silo, which I respectfully declined.
… In the end, the answer’s pretty simple. If she’s lonely, then all she needs is a little company. If we become friends, I can visit her as much as she wants… is what I said, but, when I made the suggestion, for some reason, she ended up releasing me and demanded that I never show my face again. The bird who’d been translating everything until now left one final message for me while flying off. I think it said something like:
"Learn to read the mood"
… … Somehow, I think I'll pass...
Poll Vote! Character: Wang Yuanji
Series:
Dynasty Warriors 7 Character Age: Looks to be in her late teens
Canon: What happens when you take a historical-based novel and turn it into a hack and slash game with more than a few anachronism? Why, you get a game series where peons can be put to death with a feather fan that shoots lasers and a Gatling gun! The basic story of each game follows the kingdoms of Wei, Wu, and Shu throughout their rise and fall, and though most of the series focus on the three kingdoms, their latest edition introduced a new faction that once served Wei before ultimately becoming the land’s unifier: Jin.
One of the officers that served Jin is Wang Yuanji. As a daughter of a high ranking official, and the person who is betrothed to the faction’s leader son, Yuanji generally tends to speak formally and takes her duty on the battlefield very seriously. Though normally kind and courteous to everyone she meets, especially toward those that are weaker than her, Wang Yuanji doesn’t hesitate to speak out her mind and give those that she considers to be at fault a good tongue lashing. However, even the bluntest lectures are still mostly spoken with the recipients’ benefits in mind, and it is only when someone tries her patience too far it that she will truly mean those insults. But don’t be fooled, contrary to her upfront image; Yuanji has trouble conveying her feelings toward the people she cares for.

Though my lord may not appreciate how I am insisting that he fulfills his duty, I cannot believe that he would use the pretense of sending me to train our allies in a far-off land to avoid his responsibilities like this. Especially when he can’t even be bothered to make the description of our allies believable. “Decaying bodies?”, “Detachable arms?”…I never thought there would be a day I’d hope he’s playing a trick on me, or I would have to question his sanity otherwise. Whenever I return, I will insist…no make him understand why someone with his talents and position must be conscious of his actions. But I suppose lamenting about that now wouldn’t be of any use. Let’s do the best that I can here.
Hmm, perhaps the locals that are gathered over there could assist me in this matter…It appears that my initial assumption was wrong; the description of our allies I’ve been given were correct after all. Not many can continue to fight when their eyes and arms are damaged, but even fewer can continue to fight with such sickness plagued upon them. You are all indeed very admirable for struggling so long in such condition. With how our allies are being subjected to such tyranny, I can understand why my lord would send me to evaluate the situation here. I suppose that he can be an exemplar ruler once in a while…whenever he can overcome his laziness. But do not worry. My lord will surely assist you in your struggle against this Lady Sayre, beginning with my assistance in your training in preparation to retake this province. We will punish those who caused such misfortune to a strong and noble group of people!
…I see that the claim concerning your arms is true as well, but if you are throwing them away like that, does that mean you are refusing to train? Though reinforcements will surely come, you cannot expect to rely only on them in retaking this province back. You are still capable men after all, and I’m sure that with proper training, you will all be a force to reckon with. However, if that is truly your decision, I will abide it. I only wish to inform you all that, though this option is indeed a viable one, my lord would not return the control of this land to the people who were too cowardly to help regain it. After all, what some label as self-preservation may be interpreted as cowardice. And right now, regardless of your intentions, it seems to me that your action falls under the latter.
Perhaps that rekindled your resolve once more? Well, it’s time to test that then. Gather your arms now-including the ones you threw away before!
Poll Vote! Character: Kandou Jan
Series: Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger
Character Age: 19
Canon: Four thousand years ago, a form of martial arts was created; the Beast-Fist (Jyuken). Brusa Ee was the founder, but was murdered, which led to dissent among his followers. Two schools were created during this split: GekiJyuken, a kenpo of justice and RinJyuken, a kenpo of evil. A conflict arose between the two schools and escalated until, finally, the GekiJyuken side won and sealed the three leaders of RinJyuken. But, now, after all these years, a fallen jyuken user reignites the fire of RinJyuken searching for strength, which leads the forces of GekiJyuken to retaliate.
Their retaliation comes in the form of a super hero team called the Jyuken Sentai Gekirangers. The leader is GekiRed, Kandou Jan. Kandou Jan is a feral child; he was raised by tigers and had many forest animals as his friends. He spent his time playing with them until he was found by a member of SCRTC, the company backing the Gekirangers, who saw his potential as a Jyuken user. He was then drafted by the Gekirangers and received a pair of Gekichangers, which go over his gloves; they help him to transform into Gekired Even though he is the leader, he has a very childish personality and, because of his odd upbringing, he has his own language of repetitive nonsense noises/onomatopoeias. Jan is also very bratty and his thought process is jumpy due to the way he speaks and thinks. He also has an affinity for all animals and he has a kind heart and is pure in a way that most others aren't due to the way he was raised.
Note: michi michi = yummy. waki waki = fun. shuba shuba = the fun feeling of dancing. zun zun = to pass down from teacher to student. nyuru nyuru = slippery, slimy. nemu nemu = sleepy

Yosh! This looks like a good place to teach Jyuken to people. There’s a lot of space and lots and lots of corn to eat! Nya, I really want to eat it all. It was such a long journey to get here. I had to go through Canada where there were lots of moose and then I had to take a shortcut through some mountain passes. I should treat myself to something super super michi michi. Luckily, I already helped myself to some corn. Ahhh, it really, really tasted good. This place is the best! It’s really, really the best! And there are lots and lots of people who look like they need training, too!
Hey, you! Yeah, you! Stop shambling around and gather your friends. Ah, don’t fight over who gets to be first! I’m here for all of you! Now, listen to me carefully. I’m Jan! Kandou Jan! GekiRed of the Jyuken Sentai Gekirangers! I’m here to teach you all about Jyuken. Jyuken is a beast fist kenpo centered around your beast heart! Mine is a tiger, so I know tiger-ken! That’s because I’m a tiger boy, nya! I was raised by them since I was five years old!
Now, tell me who you are! Burgahgh? That’s a really, really weird name! Well, I can- ah! Stop that! Don’t eat things off the ground! That’s bad! People hit me when I do that so I’ll hit you if you try and do it again! Okay, it looks like you’re listening. So this is what I’ll do; I’ll split you up into two teams. You, you, and you, go over there. The rest of you go that way. We’ll call this Zombie Workout Time! Now, pay close attention to what I’m doing! I’ll go slow because I know you guys are beginners, but I’m going to show you just how waki waki this is!
Let’s start! Make sure to pay close attention to how your body moves. If you can do that then we can shuba shuba all night long! You want that too, right? I thought so! Nya, it looks like you already know some gorilla-ken! That attack is good, but it needs a name! I know! Let’s try Gekiwaza Purple Nyuru Nyuru attack! That’s good! Let’s keep working together and I’ll make sure to zun zun everything down to you. Afterwards we can visit Sha Sha on the silo and sleep with her! It’ll be nemu nemu time for all of us.

Pandora Hearts Character Age: 16
Canon: Sometimes birthdays just suck. For Oz Vessalius this is an understatement: on his fifteenth birthday he is stabbed and nearly kills his best friend. If that isn’t bad enough, he is also tossed into the Abyss, a twisted place where monstrous creatures called Chains reside. In order to get back to his world he forms a contract with a psychopathic meat-loving Chain named Alice; unfortunately for Oz, he stumbles out ten years into the future. With some help from the organization known as Pandora, Oz sets out to help Alice find her memories and to discover the reason he was banished to the Abyss. Along the way he makes several friends who get caught up in his adventures.
Leo is one of those friends, and also the servant of Elliot Nightray, the heir to the Nightray dukedom. Despite this position, though, he prefers to speak to others informally unless the situation calls for it. On most occasions he is polite in his speech and mannerisms, and is exceedingly patient with people. He is frank in stating his thoughts, but because of this he is sometimes lacking in tact. One of his favorite pastimes is reading, and he won’t hesitate to rebuke someone if they get between him and his books. The thing he probably wants most is to be able to live in his own world where he can watch over Elliot and read as much as he wants.

Things certainly are getting interesting.
First, I’m transported to this strange place-the name of this establishment could definitely use some work-and now I find out that I’m a suspect in a murder investigation. This is turning out very much like some strange crime novel, if you ask me. It isn’t a very good one, though. There are too many plot holes and unnecessary characters. And speaking frankly, the characters that are necessary to the plot aren’t relatable. In particular, the main protagonist, Miss Elizabeth, is quite unlikable. This whole thing about her searching for her fiancé’s murderer seems to be one big ruse. Doesn’t she know that it’s far more likely for someone to be killed by a lover than anyone else? In reality she is the prime suspect.
Ah, but murder mysteries are never that simple; I’m sure I’ll discover her to be the red herring before I’m halfway through the story. With no purpose left for her, she’ll eventually be killed off. Maybe that’s why she’s gathered so many people here. If she creates enough suspicion of herself, even if she is innocent, she’ll at least live until the next chapter. But how does she plan on solving the mystery without any evidence or eyewitnesses? She should realize that it’s not going to work if she just collects people at random. It’s a very poor way of going about things. Perhaps she requires some assistance.
Very well, I’ll explain to Miss Elizabeth how these stories work. The setting needs to be completely changed-something like a spooky old manor on a stormy night will do. And a lot of these characters have to go; just narrow it down to the main few. And of course, they all have to be suspicious.
This is getting to be too much to explain. I suppose I’ll just give her a few book suggestions; hopefully after looking over the plot and the characters Miss Elizabeth will realize how to properly go about such an investigation. She should be careful of the books in her library, though: most of them have a bite far worse than their bark.
