I'm jumping back onto PayPal this morning and am going to cough up the $$$$ to head to CampLJ. Just wondering who else is with me? I'd love to see a bunch of people up there but there hasn't been the activity that I had initially thought there were would be. So pony up. Stop talking about it, and be about it. hehe ... we DO have about 20 completely confirmed and PAID IN FULL people going (not including any counselors). There are a ton of others who have paid their deposit, and some that have paid a few payments. All I can say is that even with the 20 completely confirmed folks ... they are all the FUN people. I have a feeling that others will be adding themselves as we go. Bottom line ... it's like fiorile and I said in the beginning, "even if it's just us, we are going to have a BLAST"

Wow, that works for me. Good news. Even with 20 people it'll be a blast. I'm going to invite some of my close friends to see if they want to go up there. I'm going to describe it as something between a camp for the Cub Scouts and the Burning Man.

LOL ... yeah and that's not even counting the real life friends that are coming with US !! I think it's going to be a lot better without being HUGE like the last one.

The proper response when they hit you with that is "Well, duh."

It is nerdy!

I mean, we're grown-ups goin' back to summer camp to hang out with people from our computer.

They are, however, cool people from our computer, who are strangely open about sharing their lives with strangers. There's a sense of community you don't often find outside of livejournal. I kinda see this as a chance to build on that, and possibly extend it into the real world.

I don't know. I actually feel less nerdy about it because I am going. But that's just me.
