Prompts Eduardo/Cameron

Apr 01, 2011 01:32

Edurado considers himself to be an open-minded person.

After all, he is jewish, american brazilian-born and gay. A lot of people have preconcieved ideas about him because of it, (and no, he can’t dance the tango, no matter what his genes say,) so it would be hypocrite of him to make presomptions on people just because they fit a a type.

Still, however much he loves Cameron, he is not blind to the fact that not only he fits a type but also a lot of cliches.

He is the typical WASP. Arian good looks, old money, successfull buisnessman and athlete. His family is the picture-perfect american family dream: successfull father, beautifull stay-in mother and two handsome happy children.

Eduardo is the blot on that picture.

He know the Winklewoss love their children and have (to) accepte Cameron’s relationship with him. Acceptance and enjoyement, however, are not the same thing. They would probably have prefered for Cameron to love a sweet beautifull girl rather than Eduardo.
Eduardo doesn’t blame them. That’s what he would have prefered for Cameron, too.

Who doesn’t want the best for the person they love?

Edurado wishes Cameron had everything handed to him easily because he deserves everything.
He wishes Cameron didn’t have to present the person he love at parties and be face with that freezing expression across people faces (associates, acquaintances, strangers...). He wishes Cameron could take him to dinner and hold his hand without that fleeting moue of distaste from the waiter (before it is masked, or not, by a look at Cameron built, their expensive suits, the manager of the restaurant...).

But this is not how it is because Cameron loves him, he loves Cameron and they are both males.

The best he can do is spare Cameron from what he can, including witnessing that half-second expression of distaste on his parents’ faces.

Because Eduardo knows better than anyone how it feels.

-

Cameron loves Eduardo. They may not have met under the best circomtances but this is the best relationship he ever had. Hands down.

He had always know he was gay. He may have tried to goes out with a few girls during Harvard (three) just to be sure, because the percentage of twins with different sexuality is low (sixteen percent) but experiment aside, he has always dated men.

Eduardo Saverin is an extroardinary man, who is also well suited to Cameron.
He is a gentleman , beautifull, his intellectual peer and more than his equal in bed.

He doesn’t mention the forth quality in public because it is private but it is as important to Cameron as the other three.

Cameron is a young man and an athlete. He has a very healthy appreciation of sex and is of the opinion that people who aren’t sexually compatible never goes far together.
Eduardo and him are very, very compatible. They have energetic sex, slow sex, rough sex, comfort sex, good-bye sex, good-morning sex, competitional sex, fun sex, emotional sex, lot of sex...

(Sex so intense Eduardo swears involuntarily in portuguese and doesn’t remembers it afterwards. Four times.)

Cameron doesn’t like kinky stuffs and so what? Not everybody enjoy it. It either makes him feel ridiculous or squicky. Cameron is fulfilled and doesn’t consider it a failure. Eduardo is like him in that reguard.

Eduardo is a lot like him. They share identic goals, ways of life, ambition. Yet he is different enought to never make it boring.

Cameron loves Eduardo in a way he is certain he will never loves anyone else because no else could make him that happy.
The only reason he hasn’t made it permanent yet (and he is sure Eduardo will say yes, even if a silver of doubt may have kept him at night, twice,) is because he hasn’t yet presented Eduardo to his parents.

It puzzles him how they have been dating for three years and it hasn’t happened before. Somehow, something always came up. A buisness meeting, family emergency, flight incapacitated by the weather...

Well, not this time.

Cameron has checked with Eduardo’s secretary, his mother, (not his awfull father,) and even his associates.
Eduardo is free, the weather is clear and Cameron is going to spend his birthday at his parents’ with all his family.

-

"-Are you sure we haven’t broke Tyler’s gift?" Asks Eduardo for the third times.

"-No, we havent," replies Cameron. He let the bags fell on the gravel and put his hands on Eduardo’s shoulders, squeez them strongly. "Now, will you calm down you’re making me nervous and its my own family."

"-Easy for you to say," mutters Eduardo.

"-They are going to loves you," promises Cameron. He plant a firm kiss on Eduardo lips and pull away grinning. "Come on," he says excitedly.

He bends down to retrieve his bags, Eduardo’s and haul all of it up on his broad shoulders. For a moment Eduardo allows himself to appreciate the view, the play of muscles and sinews visible on his arms and back, before anxiety makes a raging come-back in his stomach.
He toys with the keys of the car for a moment before following Cameron to the front door. In for a penny....

As he approaches the door, the noise of loud happy conversations turn his stomach. Inside Cameron father is pounding Cameron's back while his mother beams at them and Tyler look on with an amused epression. Seated on an expensive sofa, Divya and Tyler’s girlfriend are talking animatedly. Suddenly Kathy notices him and her smile impossibly widen.

"-Here he is! And as handsome as you promised," she adds playfully.

She approches him and put her arms gently on his before kissing him on his two cheeks. He is distantly aware of Howard booming voice.

"-We were starting to think you made him up, son. You’re lucky your brother is corroborating your reports."

Howard shakes his hand whith his right one and slap his arm with the other.

"-Because, of course, if you want the truth you go to Tyler," Cameron says sarcasticaly but he is grinning at his father

Tyler and the others are laughing. It sounds very far away.
Eduardo is starting to see black spots in front of his eyes and pleads in his head: please, don’t make him have a panick attack there, please don’t...

"-Honey," asks Kathy, "are you alright? You’re white as a sheet."

Cameron's parents make concerned faces while Cameron peers at him worriedly. He drags his fingers backward throught Eduardo fringe and pulls him in a loose embrace.

"-Hey, you okay?"

Eduardo blinks up at him, concentrates on the rassuring weight of Cameron arms on him, his smell and for a moment he feels better.
He nodds faintly and let himself be hugged. He feels wooly, like after an anesthesia. He hears Kathy says primy:

"-What an idea to drive in that heat. A five hours drive, in June! That poor boy, of course he doesn’t feel well. Cameron, took him upstairs for a lay in. Tyler, pick up their bagages. And you, young people, come help me prepare lunch."

He is being moved by Cameron and for an irrational instant he is scared Cameron is abandonning him. He tightens his hands on Cameron sides to the point of painfullness before his brain caught up with what is happening and he let goes.
They look at each other.
From the face Cameron is making, Eduardo knows he has been caught and they will be speaking about it later. For now, Cameron turns and says jockingly at his twin.

"-Bet you haven’t take Jessica bridal-style over the threshold of your old bedroom."

"-We were more worried about tiring each other clothes off," huffs Tyler as he pick up the bags.

Cameron laught, white teeth fully out.

"-In mum and dad’s house? As if! You couldn’t even hold the hand of the first girl you brought here you were so worried."

"-I was fifteen! And I have a distinct memory of your ‘study-buddy’ coming here when you were sixteen where you didn’t do much but study."

"-Lies, all lies! I will deny it to the grave... Okay, here it goes."

Cameron bend and pick him up effortlessly, bride-style, up the stairs of his parents home.

If Eduardo wasn't already out of the commmission, he would still feels like he missed a chapter.

-

Eduardo didn’t think he would sleep, but as Cameron shakes him gently awake, he is slugish for a long time to have passed. Cameron is crouched at the side of the bed, his face in his hands, observing him tenderly.

"-You okay?" He repeats.

Eduardo jerks awake and swears.

"-Fuck! Have I been asleep long? Am I late fo lunch? I can’t believe..."

"-Hey, hey, calm down," he says softly. "It’s three in the afternoon so lunch is definitively over. Don’t worry about it, okay? No one cares. They are more worried about how you are. Seriously, Eduardo, it’s fine. I only wake you so you could sleep tonigth."

Eduardo feels a flush of shame twists his stomach.
Of all of things he had been worried about for the meeting with Cameron’ parents... He couldn’t believe...

The weight of the matress shift and Cameron arranges himself so his body was lined up with Eduardo’s, Eduardo’s face craddles between his elbows. He slowly caress Eduardo’s forehead, pushing his hair back, until he feels Eduardo relaxes under his arms.

Eduardo was so cool under pressure, it was easy to forget sometimes how emotional he could get, how intensely he could feels.

He has closed his eyes and is boneless under Cameron's hands, so he figures now is as a good a time as any.

"-I forget sometimes how differently you were raised," he says .

Eduardo open his eyes but hasn’t tense yet. If he want to keep it that way, he has to phrase what he is going to say next carefully.

"-I respect my parents, so I am polite to them. But I love them like I love you and Tyler. It’s okay to joke with them, you know."

Eduardo turn on his side and curl up a bit silently. Cameron rolls with it easily and came to spoon his back. He continues to caress Eduardo hair.
Mr. Saverin and his behavior with his son had always outrage him. However, Cameron is intelligent enough to know when to voice his opinion and when to wait it out.
Eventualy, Eduardo spokes, his voice a half-whisper:

"-It wasn’t... I was just..."

There is another pause before Eduardo turns to face Cameron. His eyes are bright, his voice rought and he spokes like a confession.

"-Cameron, they were just so happy to see you. And I don’t..."

His throat close up before he continues on, a lone tear rolling on his torn face.

"-They were so happy to see us. I don’t...," he chokes a sob, "I never thought parents could look that happy. Cameron..."

Cameron pulls him in his arms and hold him hard as Eduardo shakes and cry shamefull cries of a lonely boy in his neck.
A broken boy who couldn’t comprehend that degree of love, of security. Of going home and being certain your parents would be happy to see you.

And a while ago, it may have made him want to go and destroy Saverin senior's stupid face.

Now, it’s okay, Cameron will just love him for two..

-

He still feels a bit ashamed when he goes down later to propose his help for dinner but no one seems even irritate at him. In the living room, he can see throught the enormous windows Tyler, Jessica and Divya playing a game of cards at the terrace's table. They all smile and wave at him.

Cameron steers him toward the kitchen as they came across Kathy, with a basket full of wet laundry.

"-Still doing the cleaning, mother?" Cameron says teasingly. "I thought you hired people for that."

"-Oh, hush, you," she laughs. "How are you dear?" She asks him. "Feeling better?"

He feels his cheeks heat up and he would probably be dying of mortification if she didn’t seem to, genuinly, think nothing of it.

"-Much, thanks you. I am terribly sorry for earlier."

"-Don’t apologize to me, dear. You should blame my son instead, to make you travel in such a heat. Somehow, he seems convince everyone is an olympic athlete like him."

"-Mother..."

"-It's true and I hold you entirely responsible! Now, since you seem to have energy to spend, come help me hang this outside to dry."

"-Alright, but really mother, don’t you have people to take care of this?"

"-Maria is on holidays and I don’t like how the girl who remplaces her does it. Hold this for me, would you? I need to relieve my arms."

She hold out the heavy basket to Cameron who pick it up easily with just one hand and marches out.

"-You will be okay?" asks Cameron.

Eduardo nodds but Cameron peers at him intently as if to judge the veracity of that statement. It makes Eduardo flush again, half-annoyed , half-pleased.

"-Go, I can find the way."

Cameron follows his mother while Eduardo follows the smells of onions, tomatoes and other summer vegetables cooking.

Inside the kitchen, he find Howard herbing some poting thing and that is a surprise.
He doesn’t like it when he caught himself thinking cliches but Mr. Winklevoss didn’t strike him as the type of man who had enought time to learn how to cook.
As he hesitates whether to make his presence known, Howard turns and breaks into an open smile.

"-Well, if it isn’t our fainting boy!"

Eduardo wishes the floor could swallows him. Seriously.

"-Sorry, I..."

"-Come here", he interrupts. He pours some red wine and hands it to him while simultaneously looking back at his pot. The glass sway dangerously. "Tell me what you think about it."

Eduardo hasten to took it off Howard hand and smells it. He isn’t sure he want to drink something so strong when he just woke up, but he didn't want Howard to think he was some fragile thing...
He takes a sip and despiste his misgivings, enjoys the burn down his throat. Expensive. Rough...
He eyed the drink and looks for the bottle. Howard laughts.

"-Ah, ha, no cheating!"

Eduardo smiles and observes him operate.

"-Is that a brazilian wine? He asks politely," because he is pretty sure it is, but the thought of Cameron’s father going to the trouble of finding a good case of brazilian wine...

"-A hard find," says Howard approvingly. "Now, go and rince the salad. It’s in the fridge."

Being commanding apprently runs in the family.
They make dinner while Howard recounts the story of all the rare wines he ever bought, how he found them, what did they cost, which ones were worth it and wich ones were over-rated.
Eduardo hasn’t been raised in the best of Miami for nothing, so here and there, he throws his own piece of knowledge, which kind of glassware was worth the investement and which wasn’t.

Before he knows it, they are having dinner. It’s delicious and Edurado enjoys the food, the discussion until Cameron, who is seated besides him, put his hands on his neck and starts to rub him, slowly.

Eduardo freezes.

They often do this when they eat sides by sides but this, here, is different.

Eduardo looks discreetly around but no one is paying attention to it. No one. Eduardo is starting to relaxes until Jessica spots them and pouts at Tyler.

-You never massages my neck.

Eduardo half-tense but everyone is laughing and Kathy is looking at them fondly, happily, as if her dearest wish had finally come true. Eduardo swallow some wine a bit too quickly and cought. When he put his hand back into his laps, Cameron captures it into his own and squeez it reassuringly.

Then comes the dessert, made by Howard. The others all go to get the presents they bought but Howard asks him for help.

They do some last minute frosting, put on the candles and Eduardo look up thinking they are finished when he caught Howard staring at him.

Assessing him.

Eduardo reflexively stood straighter and still, waiting. Before he has the time to break out in a sweat, Howard smiles at him and slaps him on the shoulder. He pick up the cake and goes outside, back to the table.

Eduardo feels light headed with relief and allows himself a freak-out of five seconds before straighning up and going outside with the others.

Cameron and Tyler blows the candles and open the presents. Tyler complains loudly when he found out Eduardo brought present for Kathy and Howard too. Howard laughs: it’s a high-tech gadget to uncork wine bottles. Kathy gushes over her pearls necklace and kiss him on the cheeks, tearing up a bit.

But the best came when Cameron open his present, the watch he had been drooling over but judges too expensive to buy, and proceed to snog the shit out of him.

They are whistles and cat-calls and Eduardo thinks he has been broken in a permanent state of blushing but he is happy, so happy...

And here, with Cameron arms around him, at this table, for the first time in his life, Eduardo thinks it might starts to be okay.

The end.
