A sad scene
This picture was disturbing to me for the two obvious reasons: a child and his cat. It's always so sad to see those two suffer in unimaginable ways. This was, of course, a child and his cat in near New Orleans, LA. At least the kid had the good sense to grab the cat. A group called EARS.org is going in to rescue them...
Hopefully they'll be successful.
On another note, when the newspeople talk about evacuation and mandatory evacuation they always say you should leave your pets at home or make "alternative arrangements" for them... at least that's how it was in Virginia. Heartless Bastards.
I would never leave my furpeople in that kind of situation.
