What is the core difference between "bad" and "evil"? Is there a semantic difference or does it lie completely on the shoulders of religion?

While you're thinking about that, let me help you with some names: Osama Bin Laden, Adolf Hitler, Jeffrey Dahmer. Furthermore, how do you label the person who (accidentally) kills one person? Do we quantify our label?

Good luck tomorrow. I didn't mean to bring all this on so suddenly, but I was just discussing this issue yesterday and it came up again when you said that "we can hurt the ones we love with evil..."
