Aeryn was trying to get some work done today, but she was getting a little distracted. It seemed like every time she looked anywhere, she was finding random pieces of glitter. When she'd had the party class weeks ago. And hadn't been stupid enough to bring the glitter into her office

Karla tapped on Aeryn's office door after Ethics class got out. "Professor Sun?" she asked, poking her head through the door. "It's Karla. I've come to apologize for missing class on Tuesday." She stood very awkwardly outside the office, trying to look composed and failing.

Stupid Ethics class.

Aeryn looked up, waving her in. "Everything all right?" she asked. That was sort of like a hi.

"..." Karla tried to cover up her inability to answer that question by coming in and sitting down. From her appearance, however, Aeryn could probably guess things weren't 'all right.'

"I'll make up whatever it was I missed," she said instead. "And see about getting the notes from soneone."

She knew she probably couldn't get away without giving some kind of explanation regarding her absence. She just hadn't quite figured out what that explanation would be yet.

"You missed out on a movie. Something tells me I can allow you to skip that," Aeryn assured her. "You realize you didn't answer my question." Which, yes, was an answer in itself.
