That being said, how have you been?  I feel like living in Stabby-ville was some sort of exile and I missed about a year in the lives of almost all of my friends...

So today at work I realized that power outages are the key to boosting our crap economy.  My co worker was talking about the big ol' power outage that completely skipped us here in blissville... I bet it's a good thing that stabbyville is but a hazy memory...

It is pretty much the middle of December.  We had one day of work canceled because of the ice storm.  We did not need to work a day this weekend to make up for it.
A "typical" recession lasts 14 months, and this one started last December.

So, what else has happened since February?  Surprisingly little.  I'm still at the same dead-end job, and super-resentful about what I see as willful neglect of my health/well-being, but there aren't really a whole lot of jobs out there right now.  I'm thinking about getting a weekend job (if I can find one) so that I will have some income when our ( Read more... )

So, I moved again, which means that I am even further away from most of my friends, technically. "Technically," because it is the same amount of time, or nearly the same, to get to st_dree and zen_thug, and closer to my Quebecois friends (all 3 of 'em).
