Ah, the joys of trying to juggle four or five simultaneous events, and being slowly driven insane by the medal ceremony music stuck in your head every night... must be the Olympics again!  As usual there were too many stories to mention everything, but a few scattered thoughts and highlights:

I only half-watched the Wimbledon ladies' final, partly as it clashed with Bahrami & co playing silly buggers on the outside courts (hehe) and partly as I didn't have any real preference as to the winner, but it seemed a good match - glad it went to three sets and no-one got completely steamrollered. ~ We were amused to see a squirrel going up a tree with a banana skin in Bournemouth Gardens. The very next day, both SQUIRREL and BANANA SKIN were answers in the crossword - what are the odds?!
