My cousin is expecting a baby, so I wanted to make something rather than buy off the really expensive baby registry.
I found
a pattern by
Daniela from CJ Design Blog that looked straightforward enough. The real problem was giving size 5 yarn; I ended up going on Amazon and ordering Hobby Lobby Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek Chunky yarn, because it was cheaper and in stock. It's also machine washable and dryable, which is a plus.
I discovered that I hate sewing buttons while making this. She'd better appreciate the snap fasteners.
The necklace is something I saw online, called a nursing necklace. Rather than baby clinging to mom's hair or earrings or whatever, the necklace gives them something to fiddle with. It's all cotton yarn and wood, so it's safe for baby to put in their mouth and easy to wash.
I bought the pacifier clip and added the elephant, leaf, and rabbit. They're all removable. Just wondering else for baby to play with.
The teething toy is storebought. I was looking for accessories/toys that matched my yarn colors, and I made the clip accessories based off of the teething toy.
