for me, being on the west coast I usually avoid the discussion posts since I don't want to be spoiled by the east-coasters. I do sometimes come back on here to add my thoughts but that can also be done in the polls posts...so I could go either way...
I think an official discussion post is a good thing, because on the one hand people who can't watch it live want to discuss in the Youtube video post, but on the other hand I watch it live (and then multiple times during reruns on various channels during the week), so I don't pay attention to the Youtube post at all. One place where everyone can congregate and discuss sounds best to me. The poll post could serve as that, but an official discussion post could work too.
