I have no idea about the first one although, interesting story, it was supposed to be a father and daughter and ...then the daughter morphed and grew up and now they're a very tired pair of lovers. Perhaps the man is a mid-level aristocrate who spent most of the day running around putting out one fire after another and then the princess wanted him to play a game of tag through the gardens and the queen needed him to sooth the ruffled feathers of a delegation of Kiluwa who shed those very same feathers all over the sencond greeting hall in the right wing! And he comes home to his cottage to find it's a mess of papers and lace and possibly even glitter with his girlfriend sprawled, exhausted, on the big chair beside the wood stove and that's it. He swoops her up against him with one arm, usurpes her spot and then settles her back down on his lap.
(grin) Because that right there is exactly how I write. The ideas are there, the talent is not. And really, I only have little ideas anyway. Who wants a random story about the boy who's whole job in life is to trail after the Kiluwa Delegation and pick up their feathers and carefully place them between sheets of ricepaper and add them the messenger bag he carries (the failure to do so would be scandalous in the Kiluwa culture!)? And when he meets Second Lord of the Third Ring of Advisers to the Queen, She Who Lifts The Sun and Soul Merrick ....he is completely unimpressed with his wild curls and ink stained cuffs and the complete /mess/ he's just made Boy's life by not soothing ruffled Kiluwa feathers fast enough!
SHAZA-- oh no wait, I think that's Captain Marvel.
