That subject sounds cooler than the post deserves. *g* Or like a fic title. Anyway. fififolle and munchkinofdoom both expressed interest in seeing the variations on the Steampunk Ryan banner I made, so I'm posting these here for their (and my flist's) perusal.

They're all gorgeous and it works well in black and white. But I think the colouring in number one is my favourite . . .

:) I tried the black and white on a whim - and liked it enough that I turned the other ones black and white too. But that's for another time, if ever. *g*

And yeah? I was hard pressed to decide whether to post that one or the darker one that I did end up posting!

I love all the variations but I think I like #3 best, there is something about the softer pink/red cast I like.

You should make icons of your banners too *nods*

If you haven't signed up for the next round of primeval_rumble you should, I find it helps push me into learning/finding new things for icons.

As far as making icons from the banners you could just resize them 100px high and cut out parts to make the icons, that way you aren't trying to play with smaller textures
