Absolutely beautiful! While we lived in Darwin, we never actually visited Kakadu, I'd love to go there some day. It's a unique ecosystem, there's nowhere else like that in the rest of the world.
Ahh, crocs in the wild. I remember seeing one sitting under the swings in the playground of the Botanical Gardens in Darwin when I was 5. Scary stuff!
To be quite honest Kakadu is very overrated. Like, I had a fun day but it wasn't so "spectaculair". Litchfield on the other hand... I went there yesterday and was amazed by all the stunning things we saw.
Oh, a little kid saw a crocodile there the other week again! I had no idea you lived in Darwin before btw, for how long?
They were quite amazing. While some pieces of rock art come in post card shape you won't find a whole lot of them as most can not be photographed (isn't allowed in the aboriginal culture). I've seen aboriginal art for sale that could be hun on a wall but it was quite different from the above.
It's in the wetlands, or floodlands they call it I think. Quite shallow water covering a huge part of the park and you go with a boat through it to explore and look for the wildlife :)
This comment is mostly to say that I'm sorry for never commenting properly (i'll take the time asap) and also, I want you to know that even though my comments aren't there, I do think about you. Happy thoughts only :)
Haha you wouldn't do well in Oz would you? Snakes, crocodiles, etc. Myself, I fear spiders the most but I still didn't freak out too much seeing them (even made pics, I am nuts!)

Your pics of the three in the lake (big puddle?) is gorgeous, too -- great subject, obviously, but striking composition.
