I know, right? South Island is so pretty, and I have been so lucky weatherwise *knocks on wood*
I'd never seen rocks like that before either -- I guess those are the famous Pancake Rocks?
I took that shot fromt he buswindow (like most of the pictures), totally unprepared to take a picture at the time - I can't believe how well it came out
These are the Pancake Rocks for sure (there was a huge sign) xD I just don't understand its naming entirely as they didn't really remind me of pancakes. Then again, I haven't had New Zealand pancakes yet :P
I forgot about that one, I suppose I've had some bus window picture taking practise by now
Yeah that's what I know as a hoodie as well. I just didn't know why you're not allowed to wear one, but someone just cleared that up and made me realise it's just the hood part that you're not allowed to wear when going inside of that i-site ;)
This looks like the same bus trip I took when I was 12! Except we ended up at Fox Glacier instead of Franz Josef because my mother's friend ran a motel there.
I think the Pancake Rocks are called that because they look like they're in stacks... but yes, I've never seen such oddly shaped pancakes!
Thank you :) Haha I was very cold that day! Though it's been much colder than that now but I've quickly adapted to the weather ;)
We have the term hoodie as well I just couldn't figure out why people weren't allowed to wear it. But then someone pointed out it was just the hood part you had to keep off, which makes sense (though not really in an i-site)
Having a blast! :D Flying back to Sydney on Saturday though

Those are amazing rocks! Almost like shale in formation... wow. WOW. :D
And at a guess, the jacket with a hood is a hoodie. It is here. :)

You have such a logical and sound explanation, of course they mean stacks *facepalms*
