we flew a number of circuits (touch and goes) to "warm up". I think my nervousness peaked when Nick (my instructor) told me to "ask for a full stop landing on your downwind call", because that was the moment I knew that the solo was definitely gonna happen. soon.
once I was alone in the plane, taxiing for the hold short line, I was fine. I watched other planes land (from the hold short), waited for my clearance, and the rest was fine.
Do they cut off the tail of your shirt after your first solo in Canada? I was reminded of that yesterday when one of our students did her first solo newscast... I told her that she was lucky to be on the radio and not a flyer.

The EFC gives you a "first solo" T-shirt. I'm wearing it now, as it happens.
I've been recently looking at flying to Winsconsin for Oshkosh, a huge airshow thing. I think that's pretty close to your neck of the woods.
