Ladies. I would just like to take a minute here to sing the praises of my diva cup. Honestly, these things are the best invention EVER and I do not know how I got through so many years of periods before I got myself a cup. Got my period today, and it is seriously the most amazing thing to go through THE WHOLE ENTIRE DAY and just have all my blood ( Read more... )

I'm sorry you had a bad day, but it sounds like yesterday made up for it! Score on the cat food and book! I love using coupons. I don't know much about stacking them/doubling them to get a whole grip of stuff, but it's still nice to save!

I saw you finished the book and loved it! Yay! Do you have any recommendations for someone who hasn't read any Neil Gaiman? Someone suggested Neverwhere in a book club awhile back, and I couldn't get into it at all, but I don't imagine all his books are like that. I watched Stardust and really liked it! Don't know how different it would be from the book, though.

Yeah, it was really good. Ummm, I'm trying to think where I started with him. This new one, The Ocean at the End of the Lane, was really good, regardless of whether you've read any of his stuff before. I also really liked The Graveyard Book, which I actually listened to the audiobook of. His graphic novel series, The Sandman, was really fantastic, even if you've never read any other graphic novels before. He also co-authored a book called Good Omens, with Terry Pratchett, and that one was really funny. Any of those might be good places to start. :)

I'm not sure if graphic novels are for me (or maybe I just haven't found one I like enough), but I'll add the others to my to-read list, thank. :D

I bought a Lunette back in January and I'm slowly getting used to it. The main thing that sold me on it was not having to deal with my period while at work. There have definitely been some growing pains, but it's been worth it so far and I'm going to keep trying it.

Yay for summer pay day! Getting paid while on vacation is pretty awesome, but I've never managed to take more than two weeks off at once :P

Oh, I know, the not having to worry about 'shit, when did I last put a tampon in, crap I need to go use the washroom soon' nonsense at work is LOVELY. I'm glad you're liking your cup so far. :)

Yeah, it is so novel to not be working but still get a paycheck! Definitely makes life a little easier, that's for sure!

I did say that it was a post for the women on my list. You don't need to read it if you're not interested. Also both posts that you're talking about had other things in them as well, so they weren't "just about this".
