and you give yourself away

Hi friends. This is just a quick note, because I don't think I have the brain power for much else at this moment. Key points:

  • I am in fact still alive.
  • I have not read any of your entries since March 8 or 9. This means I have a lot of catching up to do, and it may be awhile before I have the time.
  • My trip to Florida was lovely and the weather was ( Read more... )

stress, traveling, moving

Ugh, I agree that finding a place to live is definitely the most stressful part of moving. I'm sure you'll find the perfect place soon!

I'm glad that you had an awesome time on your vacation! It does really suck to come home when home doesn't feel like home at all. :( I ended up going to Texas the weekend after I told my ex I wanted a divorce. When Michelle dropped me off at the airport for my flight home, I just clung to her and sobbed because I didn't want to go home. So I totally understand that feeling. *hugs*

It really is such a relief just to be alone in your new place once everything is over and done with. I hope you get to experience that relief soon!

Thanks! I may have found a great place tonight, actually! I'm pretty excited, but trying to make sure I think of all the important things before I jump on the first place that looks good.

*hugs* Thanks, I'm glad you understand.

Me too! I'm looking forward to it a lot!

Yay for still being alive, because the alternative would suck more than suck can possibly suck and that's very sucky! :-p

And yes, it was supremely wonderful to spend a day with you while you were in the area and sad to say farewell. :-(

I'm telling you! When you're in that swanky new pad, the Risky Business singing/dancing scene is in order for you! :-D

Haha yes, the alternative to being alive is not one I plan on contemplating for a very very very long time! Way too many cool things still to do! :-)

The day I spent with you and the day I spent with Kristian were easily the best two days I've had recently, which really just made it all that much harder to leave and come back here. :-/ Such is life, I guess, but definitely not one of the fun parts.

Hahaha, okay, I'll see what I can do to make that happen. ;-)

I'm glad you enjoyed your trip! Oh my gosh living on your own is amazing! My boyfriend and I are actively trying to figure out how to carve out enough personal space for both of us even after he moves in. (Date for that is still TBD, but lots of conversations are happening.) Don't beat yourself up so much on how long it takes to find a place, if you can. This is the first time you're hunting for an apartment by yourself, right?

Thanks! And yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to living on my own. I'm glad to hear things are going so well with your boyfriend! I hope you work out how to both have your own space once he moves in; it's definitely good that you're talking about that already!

Oh, and haha. When did I write this, Sunday? I proceeded to find a place the next day. :p Did not expect it to happen that quickly at all, but it just felt right, and I've already signed the lease, sent my last month's rent deposit and everything. Moving day is April 12, though my lease actually starts on the 1st, there's just no way I'd be able to move that soon. :D
