I've decided. On my wedding day, I'm going to look up (I imagine he'll be really tall) into my husband-to-be's eyes and in lieu of vows sing "Something Good" from The Sound of Music.
That's nice. I like that song, too; however, I think "Something Good" better captures my situation. It nicely conveys the humility, honor, gratitude, and joy that I imagine I'll feel when I finally find and marry the man with whom I'll spend the rest of my life. I know that may sound a bit stupid, but oh well.
What part of "I'll Cover You" did you quote exactly?
I actually did a loose adaptation. I quote... With my apologies to Jonathan Larson, “if you’ll live in our house, I’ll be your rock and your shelter. If you’ll be my lover, my companion and my partner, I’ll cover you.”
I'm still partial to "Siegfried's Death and Funeral Music" from Richard Wagner's Die Götterdämmerung or Buckcherry's "Crazy Bitch". But I'm funny like that. I want to have a ball at my wedding.
