Finally, an update!

Wow. It has been almost a year since my last post. My life has been going through some chaos (more than usual) these last few months. I figure that's a good time to start blogging again.

My semester at Blinn bombed out, because I didn't focus on my classes. I dropped all of them and decided to wait a while before going back to school. Three-something thousand dollars not quite wasted, as it was a valuable lesson. Right. In July DecisionOne announced that they would be closing the call center on the 31st of the month. I wasn't that worried, because I got plenty of warning and a retention bonus of two weeks pay. It took me a while to find a job, but I finally got one at K2Share on in College Station. My team manager from D1 tipped me off to the job. Turns out I'm working for my old account manager from D1. I'm still working this job right now. I want a new job, though, because this one is only part time, and 7 dollars an hour. It's helping me to squeak by on the bills.

I applied at West Corporation and Brazos Natural Foods a few weeks ago. West Corp. is another call center, but I applied for the Production Team Leader position, so it's more than just answering calls. I got a callback on the BNF position yesterday, offering me a job, which I accepted, and the West position today. I'm going to interview this afternoon for the West position, and if that goes well, I'm going to give Bob my two weeks notice, and turn down the BNF position. The BNF job would be 6.50 an hour, full time, kind of unusual schedule...the West job would be 9-10 an hour, full time, and probably 9 to 5. I think I like that better, at least to help me make some money so I can go to massage school. Oh, and pay the bills *grin*.

I'm also working at the renaissance festival, which is great fun, and reminding me of some things I'd forgotten about life. It also reminds me of a girl I knew there last year, who has since moved to Virginia...she was absolutely awesome in many ways, and I miss her a bit.

Edit: Oh, and my sister got engaged in the Spring, is getting married in 2 weeks. Scary. Scarier than that? I'm a groomsman...I'll be wearing a tux./Edit

Hopefully this update heralds an era of regular updates for those voyeurs that find my life fascinating.
