Halloween

So--Halloween seems to be losing all its meaning.  On Y!A the other day there was a question on why most adult costumes are slutty.  Can't you go trick or treating with your child anymore?  I mean I don't want to look like a hooker as I walk Snow White around the neighborhood

I spend no more than $25 on their costume. Lanie actually is tinkerbell and it was $24, Jena is a bee and hers was $5. I can't believe I get halloween off work!

One of my professors while i was in art school told a story about one of her Halloweens in downtown Greenville at ECU. This woman is five foot even, and maybe, MAYBE weighs 95 pounds. She's tiny. And since she had the figure for it, she wore only what was strictly necessary, went in for some professional grade body paint, and became a Zebra from head to toe. That included her hair, which got bleached and dyed as necessary. Could still fall in the trashy realm, but everyone in downtown G-Vegas was 18 or older, and the movement in the streets was shoulder to shoulder.

I don't know what to make of it, but if you miss that passion for Halloween, find your nearest handy-dandy art department, and try to ignore the Frattie McFratFrats and the Doorknob Sorostitutes. Wow, hey. That could be a band....
