I don't know why this strikes me as hilariously funny.

Hehe, that's hilarious. Politicians are so weird. I don't think celebrities primp as much as they do....

I sat here and was oddly fascinated by the entire video. And people wonder why the jokes get made that he's gay. Maybe not gay, but he primps more than me on club night.

ahhah I love Harry Shearer! I had no idea he was doing this sort of thing. Edwards' primping reminds me of high school insecurity of having it *exactly* how he wants it. His combing it vs. the stylist suggests some neurosis there. His hairstyle isn't so complex as to be tricky for anyone else to do it and do it right.

Although the flip side is, if he had a hair out of place it'd be so obvious that everyone would notice, too. I'd be willing to bet when a star's got a choice of their own looks vs. a crew to monitor it, and an art director to say how they should look, they're that primpy. When in entertainment or public eye, image is everything and to cement it in the mind of the friends and enemies alike, they go to exacting standards, whether the interest be in perfect arrangement or candidly casual to sloppy, they do want to control how they're perceived. It makes me glad to be a common joe with no cameras aimed at me or an image to uphold!
