I have this strange new fascination with Bull Riders. I don't know where it came from, but I find idiots who risk their lives for no apparent reason, sexy. GAH!!!! Oh well, I'll probably get over it

I scared of horseys.....that's sad huh? I think they are pretty animals, but they scare me...

Na, tons of people are scared of them. Except, most children. I've met few kids that are afraid of them. As long as you're with someone that knows what's going on then you're okay. Most of the time, horses are WAY more afraid of you. They have a prey animal mentality. Kinda, I'm running away because you might eat me. They even freak when they smell blood. I came off a horse (he was hardly broke) a couple months ago and busted my nose (nothing major, just bloody as hell). I ran back into the barn to grab some towels to stop the bleeding. My yearling (baby, only a year old already 900 pounds) was tied up at a post. She smelled the blood and totally went ballistic. She was sooooooooooooo scared, I had to leave the barn fast so she would calm down.

You should have seen me the first time I got thrown. I so did not want to get back on. Now, when I come off (which with the horses I ride is a lot) its no big deal.
