my reflection

I shouldn’t have to feel lucky that my family loves me; but I do. You may ask why I would doubt the love and acceptance of those who raised me, who have been there with me through my entire life. I have seen people, close friends, be rejected by their families for the characteristic that makes me fear the loss of my family’s love. I have seen ( Read more... )

"Forever" might be a strong word. I take heart from the fact that we went to a Catholic high school in Omaha, Nebraska and I didn't know any of our peers who thought homosexuality was wrong.

Also, though I don't like Boston for other reasons, it is a pretty accepting place as far as things like that go. I remember a place I was interviewing with mentioned in their literature that you could extend your health insurance to your same-sex partner...it was cool.

Also, you can get married here!

(Is the lucky lady anyone I know? Are you planning on getting married? Sarah Nevole's getting married [to a guy], so that's why I ask...seems like it's starting to be that time.)

unfortunateyl, our experiences at marian were slightly different. genoways actually approached us about our amount of pda...oh. the lady is marie young. not sure if you remember her, but she was a marian girl too. we've been together since senior year. marriage? meh. we are committed to each other, if that is what you mean. maybe someday we will get married, but who knows. for now we are just happy being together. i heard about sarah though...goood for her. how are things with you?

Yeah, I remember Marie...that's too bad about Genoways, I always thought she was pretty okay. Things are going fine with me--looking for a job, looking for an apartment, doing my thesis, preparing to graduate, that kind of thing.
