Now *that* was an INCREDIBLE piece of writing!! I loved everything about it. That showed an amazing understanding of both characters, the situation, their love for Callie and their respect for each other as well as... traditions.

I hope what I'm actually trying to say comes through well /laugh.

I really enjoyed writing this piece because the characters were very loud in my mind - that doesn't always happen, so I'm really glad that you think this showed an understanding of the characters. I was hoping for a great dynamic and for a little humor. Thank you so much for making me smile today. :)

I love Gary too... and I wish we could see him more in Numb3rs, but I will settle for Edgerton. LOL. I think I love him as Callie's dad even more. I had her as an original character a long time ago without knowing anything about her parents. Then that first episode where Lt. Walker arrived, I said "OMG. That is Callie's dad... through and through." Worked out nice that they even had the same last name. haha. Fate. :)

I'm so happy you read this universe and that you enjoyed this. I really had fun writing this one because this version of Colby and Gary were very clear in my mind and they had things to say. That doesn't always happen so I'm glad I got the point across.

My dear friend julietm took care of the proposal... I think you may have already read it. This piece I wrote was a prequel to that. But just in case: Just Another Day. That whole story is actually what created the HS sweethearts universe. *sighs* I think she has more planned for that story actually. *waits impatiently*

I'm glad you're doing better. I'm about to take a week off from LJ myself. I just can't handle it right now. I used to be much better about stress... but I gave it up after graduate school. LOL.

I know you posted this several months ago, but I just read it now cuz I stumbled upon it on savecolby.

Great job! I really really like this story and think it's beautifully written! And yes, the soldier comment was made of win! ;)

Awww. Thank you so much for reading this and for leaving me a comment!! I've been in a writing slump, and this one one of the last pieces I posted so it really means a lot that you enjoyed it.

The soldier comment came out of nowhere when I was writing this but once it was out, I couldn't help but laugh. I'm pretty pleased with this piece because I don't think Gary's voice has ever come through so clear to me. LOL. I'm just tickled to death you liked it. Thank you again.

You know, ever since I've created my youtube account I know how much comments mean to the author, so I always try to post my opinion whenever I read/watch something.

I hope you're getting out of your slump soon, I'd love to read more of your work :) It was a great pleasure reading this story :)

Is your YouTube page the same as your LJ ID?

I don't spend nearly enough time commenting in YouTube as I should. But you're right - comments and feedback are important. I hope you get more comments than I do there - comments that AREN'T asking what episode happens at what time in the video. LOL. I get so many of those comments in YouTube.

I'm working on an Ian/Nikki Numb3rs fic right now. I'm trying to get out of my writing slump. I'm hoping to post this story soon and then post another Colby/Callie story for the savecolby challenge. Thank you again for the support. :)
