He sat back in his chair, smiling and satisfied. He’d not had good old-fashioned home cooking like that since he last sat at his mama’s table in Winchester, Idaho.
“That… was amazing,” he complimented in earnest, wondering for the moment where she learned to cook like that.
“I hope you’ll say the same about dessert,” she sighed, taking a sip of red wine.
His eyes widened slightly, “There’s dessert?”
She raised her eyebrows suggestively in his direction as a slow delicious grin crossed her lips - lips that now glistened with the wine.
