I just got a letter from Hill Barth & King with my start date. I will be starting my internship on January 9th. I'm excited, but I didn't expect it to start so soon. I'll be starting at Progressive at the end of June / beginning of July. I'm happy, but I hope I don't stress myself out too much. That means that rather than it being almost a year before I start my new job, it will only be 7 months until I start. I finally got my offer letter from Progressive. They want me to start at the end of June even though I don't graduate until August. I told them that my official graduation date was August 19th. I think I can finally say that I'm proud of myself - that I'm proud of what I've accomplished. My goal was to graduate when I was 25 and although I won't graduate until I'm 26 I feel like I've still met that goal. Got lost in Cleveland on Friday on the way to a Bob Mould show. It was fun. Unfortunately, he was solo - just him and a guitar. We were expecting a full band because of all of the stuff Brian had been reading, so we were disappointed. My interview at Progressive is tomorrow and friday. I'm starting to get really nervous. If I hadn't been focused on the party (or hung over) this weekend I could have prepared better by making sure I had clothes to wear and everything. Had a party Saturday. Meghan and Nathan were the crazy 88 from Kill Bill. I wore devil horns and a shirt that said kiss of death - I was the pleasure devil. Brian wore black rimmed glasses with fake eyebrows connected to them - it was originally the glasses with a fake nose and eyebrows but the glasses didn't fit with the nose connected. Holy shit Progressive has an extensive interview process. First a phone interview, then an assessment test, now next thursday and friday I have to go to cleveland. Thursday from 2:30-6pm is a tour of cleveland and the Progressive office. 7pm-9pm is a social with Progressive management. Stay overnight in a hotel (provided by them) and the next ( Read more... )
