You did it to me again--with wonderful writing, got me to read about two guys I know nothing about and broke my heart. Kudos!

that is the trouble with ballplayers, they tend to be heartbreakers. thanks for giving it a shot, awesome that you liked it.

MADBUM! MadBum is on my fantasy team, you see, and that's what I've been calling him all year and I've been trying to convince everyone else in my league that he's going to be really good this year, so I have a place in my heart for him and his enormous ears. Oh, MadBum ( ... )

hee hee, i like that you have totally embraced the ridiculousness of that nickname, and made it your own. and hell yeah he's gonna be really good this year! have people not seen madison bumgarner? plainly a superstar in the making.

i also see the parallels between fic buster and fic mulder, at least so far. somebody in the relationship always has to be jerky and screwed up in the head for me to really get into it, and buster plays the part so well.

thanks very much for this most excellent note! it is terribly appreciated.

But then, Buster! What a fucking cipher that kid is, I can only kinda circle his right characterization, but I'll get to it.

I was so glad to see this note, because as much as I love your work usually, I have to confess, this characterization of BP didn't really work for me. I'm half awake and a quarter watching Hitman on FX, and not at all a Giants fan, but for what it's worth, I look forward to you nailing him.

I still read the whole thing, though - 'cause Madison was working for me fine ;)

oh my word, so do i. pardon me as i glaze over with dirty-minded reverie.

but yeah, posey is still an enigma wrapped in a riddle wrapped in the tools of ignorance. the only cure for this ambiguity, clearly, is to write much much more about buster posey.

thanks kid!
