Amuse me

Feb 14, 2006 22:18

Life is so boring. I wish I could be magically sucked into an adventure.

Nothing ever happens. Ever.

Well, here's a challenge; amuse me!

1. List your top three favorite books.
2. List your top three favorite movies.
3. Write something completely random. About ANYTHING.

Get to it my darlings. :-3

1) Warchild by Karin Lowachee
2) Ender's Shadow, Shadow of the Hegemon, Shadow Puppets, Shadow of the Giant (All part of a series by Orson Scott Card)
3) Daughter of the Forest, Son of the Shadows, Child of the Prophecy (Sevenwaters Trilogy by Juliet Marillier)
4) The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley
5) Crown Duel by Sherwood Smith

That was more than 3 books but whatever.

Amazing movies are:
1) Hotel Rwanda

And I can't think of anything more.

Care to give brief synopses of each series/book? XD

I might eventually get to reading them. :-P

I've read the Sevenwaters Trilogy! Read the first in school, purchased the second, and have yet to find time to find/buy the third.

Just felt like mentioning that I ♥ J. Marillier. (I like the Daughter of the Forest best, but won't make any decisions until I've read the last one.)

Hope this helps to un-bore you candlefungus!

I might check it out, as soon as I finish the other hundred books on my to-read list. :-$

Yes, RANDOM!!!11 Sweet life.

Yeah, I made the terrible mistake of watching the Memoirs of a Geisha movie before reading the book. The movie was utterly awful; although I haven't read the book yet, I'll get to it [eventually].

Random rantings= the food of my life.

Definitely not looking off in the distance for speculative purposes anymore.

1. Ender's Game/Ender's Shadow by Orson Scott Card
2. His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman
3. Song in the Silence by Elizabeth Kern

1. Gattaca
2. Aladdin
3. LotR 1, 2, 3

You're listening to the song I sent you! XD Random: I'm in the process of reading the entire Animorphs series by KA Applegate in order, and I'm currently on #35 out of 54 (not counting the special books). Their lives are... insane. And I wish that I could be sucked into an adventure, too. Preferably with that guy... (Because then we would totally bond over near-death experiences). ^^

Bonding over near-death experiences is THE way to bond.

BTW I have 2 friends burning me two of Mae's cd's, so I will share the songs with you as soon as I get them!

Night was amazing; I cried after the fourth page, when the priest was warning them all about the camps.

I started Fahrenheit 451 and never got to finishing it; The Illustrated Man was AMAZING. I <3 Ray Bradbury.

I totally own Emporer's New Groove, and The Passion made me cry :-3

I shall check out Schindler's List; I've heard that it is fantastic.

I wish I had a pony too. :-)
