Working at a major international airport doing security system maintenance, I tend to work closely with TSA. I assure you, their so-called "security" is really nothing more than a cosmetic fix to placate terrorist-fearing Americans. If anything, airports were more secure and less hassle *before* TSA took over.

Incidents like this really aren't that uncommon. For all of the hassle, there's really no added security.
