I finished BD about 3am this morning so I'm still kind of processing it. I'm really just like 'wow'. What you've said though has kind of helped me get my head around everything that happened. I don't hate the book, there were bits I loved and bits I think could have been done a bit differently. It's mostly getting my head around the fact that they had a BABY for crying out loud! their relationship has changed so much, matured i guess, since the first book, it's just a bit hard to comprehend. but after all of that I think I did actually like it. ohh and i agree, Renesmee? i liked how she was with edward from the beginning, and also how when she becomes a vampire her desire for edward overcomes all her other feelings. I think I agree with you now about SMeyer doing this for herself, not for anyone else's opinion. so thanks for that :) ahh i can't believe it's over! :)

Ditto. I did read the 14 chapters like on the day before BD was released and when I was reading Jacob's POV I didn't like what I was reading, mostly because of Bella's pain. And yeah I hated when Edward called Nessie a thing. I was like "Awww" and teared a little when Edward realized he could read Nessie's mind and how she loved Bella, her voice and Edward's voice. It was so sweet. And when she talked for some odd reason I imagined her voice would sound like Bonnie Blue's (Scarlett's daughter) voice from Gone with the Wind. She's so cute. I dunno if you've seen that movie but it's really good. At first I didn't notice I was imagining her voice until a while later. lol. This is her. And then when I noticed I was imagining her voice I just imagined her with different clothes, bronze hair, and brown eyes (she has blue). But yeah I hate when they call it an "Epic Fail" I don't think it was and not an "Epic Win" either. But good.

I love positive reviews! *sigh* You basically summed up everything I adored about this book so much more eloquently than I ever could have.

My favorite moment has to be when Edward finally gets inside Bella's head:

"Now you know," I said lightly, and shrugged. "No one's ever loved anyone as much as I love you."

It gets me every time. I can't help but tear up just reading that line. <3

I really don't understand the BD hate, but I do agree if they want to hate on it, then just should just hate on the book and not the author. Stephenie does not deserve that. It's like people forget she's the one who created these characters and brought them into our lives. She can do with them as she pleases, and she shouldn't be getting trashed for that. I really have had enough of all the negativity.

wow, i have so many things tp say, but i don't know where to start from. well, i re-read breaking dawn yesterday and just finished it, so pretty much all the points you brought up are quite fresh in my mind. i'm happy to find a fellow BD lover, because as often as you might have heard, i'm sick of the tonnes of BD bashing on my f-list ( ... )

I loved the book. it was crazy at times but it kept my attention all the way through...and being a jacob fan too (team switz!!) i loved his pov, it totally made the book more readable.
