Well. That was rather amazing. I wasn't quite liking the thoughts in italics thing...and then I did. I think it was about when Cameron started thinking about honey in tea. They were rather amusing, after that.
I really liked Cameron's train of thought...
And you made some really interesting connections from canon - like the tea comment. I'd never even thought of that. And the 'crush' comment. That was pretty clever.
Well done with this! (I love how you could put it in the angst and the humour category, at the same time.)

Thanks so much. I think I'm just too fluffy a person to do pure angst. lol

I thought it was creative to place Cameron in the position of witnessing House's rendevous with Honey. I like how you set up her belief in commitment (and we assume, fidelity) with this paragraph:

Cameron grinned as her thoughts started going in circles, making less and less sense as the buzz from the beer warmed her and made her limbs feel deliciously tingly. She was a lightweight when it came to alcohol, but tonight she didn't care.

Circular thoughts. Ringing around my mind. Rings. Circular like a ring. More gold. A gold ring. A band meant to represent love. Commitment.

And I like the juxtaposition of her soggy thoughts as she gets sloshed and how you convey that with random observations on her part.

BTW, House's confession that he isn't faithful to his girlfriends bothered me. First, there's little evidence he's had a lot of them. Second, there's no indication in the canon that he ever cheated on Stacy. Personally, I think that was an instance where he lied to cover his ass in advance.

Great work!

Thanks, hon. I really appreciate your mad beta skillz. :p

There was speculation in the fandom that House did cheat on Stacy, with none other than Cuddy. Blech! But there was nothing that I saw in canon to support that. With all his snide remarks about Wilson's philandering ways, I really want to believe that House wouldn't cheat. But with the way they've written him during the last half of season three, I'm just not sure.

Thanks again for beta-ing this and commenting. *hugs*

I laughed at Cameron's thoughts. This story was a good mix of humor and angst.
