Three US states reject same-sex marriage

All the votes haven't been counted yet, but it looks like Proposition 8, the gay-marriage ban, is going to go through. My joy over Obama's victory is saddened by the realization that there are still so many bigots in the US.

I am at a loss of words over this one, and saddened that I know people that are against this...I have to reconsider some of my friends, I'm so shocked over this. Makes me sad that a lot of my very good gay friends cannot live happily as the rest of us. Breaks my heart
