Saw that 4 hour Kenneth Branaugh Hamlet last night. Never have I been happier to see Billy Crystal in a movie. He was great. It hardly felt like 4 hours. Of course, any movie with Kate Winslet in it seems far too brief to me. Even boat flicks.

Oh yeah, Ken was cool, too. A much better film than Wild Wild West*quote from the special edition dvd of

I love that one! Senior Year in English we had to watch every Hamlet movie ever made.
Except for the Ethan Hawke one... H or whatever.

Anyway, I kind of have a crush on Kenneth Branagh.

Yeah, it is 'sehr cool', as we say in Deutschland. I was wondering why I used to like Charlton Heston. Watching it for the first time must be a lot different then rewatching it, as each time a familiar star popped up on the screen was a new treat. Charlies Angels 2 did not produce the same effect using that trick however. I can certainly understand your crush considering this movie. I've seen a few other versions, and this is the first one in which Ophelia was more attractive than Hamlet's mom, thankfully. Jack Lemmon seemed a little silly in his roll, though.
