didn't anyone see wargames, terminator, the matrix...candygraezAugust 2 2004, 11:59:08 UTC
Reading the message boards for this, there was a thread calling for a wargames sequel. A lot of people wanted to see the same cast reassembled 20 years later (with geek dreams of Matthew Broderick and Ally Sheedy as a married couple... I must admit I completely understood where they were coming from). One supporter signed off with "Bush 2004", which seemed like a perfect illustration of Lewis Black's pronouncement "The Democrats have no ideas, while the Republicans have BAD ideas."
Professor Falken, how about a game of gta 3?candygraezAugust 2 2004, 11:53:35 UTC
This version actually has a sparkplug exposed for you to piss on during dire emergencies. The neocons programmed it so that the tic-tac-toe game it plays only has "X's". I was reading the message boards and more than a few of us geeks were inspired that a hottie like Ally Sheedy would fall for a cute little Matthew Broderick geek-boy.

I was always deeply disturbed by that... I mean I find geeks super hot and to compete with a chick that is the caliber of Ally?? I will just go buy some cats!

Man... 'Wargames', 'Short Circuit', 'Breakfast Club'... she was the golden idol every 80's geek secretly dreamed of. Bill Gates probably cloned her and has a few Ally Sheedys in cryogenic storage.
