Here! Personality:
Emmy is the assistant of Professor Layton, who Layton took on as an assistant unwillingly. Her eagerness towards her new job is shown throughout the game as she's always ready to follow the Professor into any situation and lend a helping hand, although for reasons she never explains to the Professor. Nonetheless, she makes a very dependable assistant to Professor Layton. She maintains a very cheerful and enthusiastic demeanor, accepting her new job as assistant with excitement and pride. Also, Emmy tends to be very protective, caring, and friendly person, going into situations with a positive and confidant attitude.
Out of Layton, Luke, and herself, Emmy tends to be the least mature of the group. She prefers exciting adventures filled with action and she doesn't always take things seriously. She tends to defy the ladylike expectation that the Professor seems to expect from her. She dashes into danger, can hold her own, is very independent, and dislikes others trying to protect her or treat her as defenseless. Whenever Layton tells her that he can't allow her to come with him when something dangerous is involved, she either brushes him off or outright tells him "no". She also seems to act first before thinking, being one of the few Layton characters that actually seems to prefer brute force to intellectual solutions. In fact, when Luke tries to get them to solve his door puzzle before letting them see him, Emmy suggests they simply kick down the door.
She also can be childish, as the Professor can be seen scolding both Luke and Emmy for getting into things they're not supposed to. Another example happens to be a running gag throughout the game, where Emmy wants to try a piece a candy an elderly woman is selling but the woman won't sell it to her because she's an adult. Emmy is shown to be upset over this, with Luke even trying to comfort her a little. However, she never actually shows her anger outright, showing that she's usually in control of her emotions most of the time and that she can keep a cool demeanor even in situations she's not happy about. The only time she doesn't is when she's actually surprised and caught off guard about something (she gets visibly distressed over bugs and actually yells when she thinks she sees a ghost).
But despite this, Emmy is resourceful and reliable. She traveled all the way from Misthallery to London to search for files for the Professor, is constantly taking notes and photos, and even helps bail the Professor out of tough situations. Emmy's also an amazing fighter, and this shows when she takes down a tough criminal that even the police force were struggling to restrain in one hit. When she, Layton, and Luke were ganged up on by thugs, she told them to stand back and proceeded to defeat all of them. She even helped disable the giant robot rampaging through Misthallery. She's also resourceful in the sense that once she's set on finding information, she usually gets it no matter how long it takes for her to find it. Before meeting Layton for the first time, she reveals a lot of personal information she's found out about him, including the fact that he was a bachelor.
Which leads to another point, Emmy is very determined when she wants something. When the Professor saves her from going to jail by proving her innocence, she spends years tracking him down and obtaining information on him. Then when the opportunity came, she practically forced Dean Delmona to hire her as Layton's assistant. This also implies something else about Emmy's personality: Emmy has a sense of honor as well. When someone does something for her, she makes sure to repay them for it.
The last thing to note about Emmy is that she's very sarcastic, and has a snarky sense of humor. She doesn't hold back when it comes to speaking her mind, and she usually has a quip or two depending on the situation. When Luke reveals he can talk to animals, her comment is along the lines of "this reminds me of a puzzle...from an insane asylum". She also likes to tease people she knows she can easily rile up. This is apparent when she frequently refers to Luke as "Assistant Number Two", knowing that Luke will angrily protest. While she has a lot of respect and admiration for the Professor, her relationship with Luke seems to be that of an older sister.
Powers & Abilities: No abilities, although Emmy is very skilled at martial arts.
What items will they be bringing with them to Discedo? Her clothes and would her camera be all right?

Flash!
A frown crosses her features as she places her finger on the button of the camera. It reminded her of Misthallery in a way. That is to say, Misthallery if it were attacked by two or three Specters, a missile, and a zombie apocalypse. Just what was this place, anyway?
She snaps another picture, trying to put together all the pieces. Let's see, she was heading back home after helping the Professor solve yet another mystery- this one involving a contest where the reward was eternal life, an opera singer, Descole, ancient ruins, and stopping a giant robot from destroying everything and everyone in sight.
You know, the usual.
But that was besides the point, she was heading home preferably for a shower and warm cup of tea, and in the next moment she woke up here. She couldn't figure out how she woke up here, she didn't remember even falling asleep. In fact, she was pretty sure she was still talking to the Professor when suddenly she arrived in this place.
"Hello? Is anyone there? No zombies, I hope?"
She swallowed a bit, trying to hide that bubbling fear that threatened to surface. Stupid fear, what good did it do for anyone anyway? To distract herself, she moves further down the street to snap yet another picture and trying to remind herself to keep calm and the Professor was probably not that far away if she kept looking-
She trips over some of the rubble, yelping in surprise as she goes down and doing whatever she could to make sure her camera didn't get hurt before she did. This place had to at least have some kind of sign around to tell her where she was, after all it did still have buildings. She couldn't give up until she found something out about this place. What would the Professor say if he saw her just wandering around uselessly? That does it, she would just forbid herself from panicking until she at least found what where she was. Then she could panic. Maybe.
A low growl shakes her out of her thoughts as the shadow of a monster approaches her. While it's hard to tell what exactly the creature is, she knows it can't be friendly. She glances around for something to use as a weapon, but when she can't find anything useful, she takes a fighting stance instead. She's not exactly sure how well this will go, but it beat just standing around and waiting to get eaten.
"So this is the welcoming committee, is it? Well, come on then! Take your best shot!"

[The communicator turns on for the first time, revealing a young brunette woman in a bright yellow outfit. At least, it would if Emmy was actually standing that far away from the video feed. Instead, all that's showing is one of Emmy's eyes and a few strands of brown hair.]
This doesn't look like a camera...what is this supposed to be anyway? Hello?
[After tinkering with it a bit more, she has a sudden realization.]
Oh wait, perhaps it's supposed to be a voice recording device! I can use this to keep notes on what I find in...er, well whatever this place is called. How handy!
[...Okay, so she hasn't quite figured out it's for communicating with everyone else in the city. She's getting warmer though!]
Ah, what should I say first? I should probably introduce myself! This is Emmy Altava, and it seems I've ended up in this strange place with no memory of ever coming here. This city is seemingly abandoned, except for some of the strange creatures I've spotted along the way.
[She pauses to look around the city.]
...Professor, if you happen to find this message, have I got a puzzle for you.
