Don't feel stupid dave. Maybe it's just that im a bad photographer who can't get his message across.
The first one deals with the importance of the war in iraq. It seems like nobody cares anymore. I thought it was quite humorous to have this "Open Trench" sign here in our city. I guess i was trying to make the parody of people driving by, maybe glancing a few times, and then on with their lives.
The second deals with a more personal matter that I will tell you in person. It might be a bit weird to explain.
The third is trying to make an uneasy type of feeling. The balls represent a human, maybe a soul. One is nestled, comfortably protected and partially blinded. The second attempts to peer over the edge and possibly make a grand exit into exploration of the aspects of life. The background, intricatlly interconnected vines are blurred, not allowing us to grasp a clear understanding of what is around us, and how things are connected.
sorry vishal but i dont see why an open trench sign should have anything to do with the war in Iraq, or remind people of the war in iraq. its clearly just a construction sign warning people not to drive into the trench. it would be funny though if in world war I an II they put up big orange signs that said open trench around their trenches. -joey

what the fuck. you say more to me on my live journal then in real life?
anyways. I understand what you are saying. The sign shouldn't have anything to do with the war. Personally, when I hear trench I associate it with war. It's probably not the norm but thats what made me think of the war.
Then again, i also have a different view of that trench in particular. I did spend 30 minutes walking around in it with army helmet and full camo clothing getting stared at by construction workers. And my feelings of the war being on the backburner were intensified when I watched cars drive by.

The construction workers probably thought you were some terrorist, planning to disrupt the American economy by blowing the fuck out of some wannabe-Irvine Spectrum.
