CHARACTER
Name: Ciel Phantomhive
Age: 16
Canon: Kuroshitsuji
History:
Ciel's wiki page.Personality: Ciel, while having been a rather happy child, turned out cold, sharp, and ruthless, quite different from the man his father had been. Where his father had been kind, friendly, and ruled with ease, Ciel was unforgiving and even sometimes cruel. Ciel was not Vincent Phantomhive, something which he made a point of.
His parents' death has changed him drastically. Where he'd always been a spoiled child, he is now an inherently selfish teen, putting himself ahead of anyone else. If it has no benefit to him, it doesn't happen, simple as that. He's cynical and often gloomy about life in general, and the nature of humans, which he has lost faith in as a race.
He is controlling, demanding, and ambitious. He never accepts anything less than the best from himself or anyone else. Mistakes irritate him, especially when made by himself. He holds himself above everyone else, and if he fails to meet his expectations, it can put him in terrible mood for days. That being said, being humiliated or looked down upon in any way infuriates him to no end.
Despite being so young, he is incredibly smart, calculating, and manipulative. He enjoys chess and other strategic board games which he excels at and will often challenge people to battles of wit if he thinks them worthy. He is capable of handling most situations with calm and poise, his anger often being controlled, cold, and directed. Rarely does he lose his temper, though it has been known to happen.
Publicly, he tends to be on the arrogant side, and ruthless to those who oppose him. He's confident in his abilities and intelligence.
IN GAME
Brief In-Game History: Ciel was brought up as the heir to the La Guardia Famiglia by his loving parents, and their mostly kind family. He was a happy, spoiled child, always getting anything he ever wanted. This, however, didn't mean he was sheltered from the horrors of the mafia world. His father never lied to either him or his mother about the things he did and what they meant. He learned of death from an early age, and was taught that death was an unfortunate, sad thing, but was inevitable and sometimes necessary. He was taught that it was not okay to kill for no reason, but if you had something to protect, sometimes you had to do it. Ciel understood these things possibly better than most children, but still in a child's way.
His father was always bringing strays into the family; people he had rescued, often from Mendolia experiments, or from being abused by other families. One such stray became his caretaker whenever his parents were busy, which was far too often for Ciel's tastes. The boy was nice enough, though, and Ciel preferred him over some of the others, probably because he was younger than most and apt to play with him longer. He would also spoil him with treats, which would come to be something Ciel would almost rely on.
As with many children in similar situations, his happy childhood didn't last long. When he was twelve the main house was burned while he was away. His parents were not, and were killed in the fire. Ciel only cried once over his parents' death, then never again. He now had twice as many responsibilities as before, being the new head of the La Guardia family, which became a debate among many of its older members. Was a twelve year old child really capable of heading the family? It was a task Ciel proved he could handle almost immediately.
His demeanor changed and he quickly became a cold, calculative, efficient head. Nothing of the man his father had been, and anyone who tried to make that point was quickly punished. La Guardia no longer took in strays (though if someone happened to find their way to the family, begging entrance, they may be allowed in after long, careful consideration), and the relaxing, peaceful times were no more. A couple attempts to overthrow him had been made, and quickly squashed, the persons responsible killed or outcast.
Ciel also frequently dealt with other families attempting to move in on his territory. After all, if the head is a child, it should be easy right? Wrong. Ciel would prove time and time again that age meant nothing when it came to effective leadership and ruthlessness. Ciel had turned the La Guardia into a Family no one wanted to cross.
When not fighting off rebellious family members or rival families, Ciel spends his time investigating his parents' death, which he's fairly sure was the fault of the Mendolia. Vincent had often been a thorn in their side, and getting rid of him had only benefited their family. It's still an ongoing investigation, as he has found no definitive proof, even if he's certain it was them.

Ciel had underestimated his opponent. They had been smarter than he'd given them credit for, and now he was paying the price. It had been a simple infiltration mission. Sebastian had given him word that a hostile family might possibly be making plans against them. So Ciel had gathered a team to find out what it was. He himself headed the expedition.
He'd been lurking in the shadows, a place he felt most comfortable, eavesdropping on some kind of deal. It sounded like weapons smuggling. Sebastian wasn't far off, keeping an eye out for him. He wasn't aware that this family had any members who could use special bullets. None of the intel he'd received had mentioned anything about that. As far as Ciel was concerned, they had the advantage here.
A figure had melted out of the shadows and by the time Ciel had noticed, it was already too late. He moved, but not quick enough. A knife made contact with his right eye. He yelled, stumbling back. The pain was intense; he didn't even feel his back hit the wall. Immediately, he reached for the gun at his side, firing off three shots in the direction he'd last seen the figure. He didn't know if he'd hit him or not, but he also knew Sebastian would be right on his heels.
