Arven wants to know these things about me, so blame her. LOL

1. We always seem to share cyber drinks so I shall start there. Favorite drink and with that, favorite memory associated with it.

My favorite drink depends on my mood, but Caol Ila is a safe bet anytime (a single malt whisky). Unfortunately, there is no special memory that goes with it. ( Read more... )

I will wait for the rest to comment but it is funny how much the answers to these questions reveal similarities between people. For example, I love several books, but when it comes to picking a "favorite" it comes down to the leading man. A Tale of Two Cities is what I will name if I want to impress, but Georgette Heyer's An Unknown Ajax is my true comfort book, read over and over again. I love the leading men in both, for completely different reasons, although both have men that one could love, again, for completely different reasons. Very different types of books, but both well written and wonderful in their own ways. I will have to look for your book to read ( ... )

I just completed the post, Arven. Two more secrets revealed. LOL

Georgette Heyer, hmmm. I haven't read anything from her in ages, but there was a time I did. I don't know the names of the books I read in English. The books I read were in a library and they were quite old. One of Heyer's books had been put in a storage because it was too fragile to keep on the shelves. I found the book the best of the pile. Its Finnish version was called Venetia. I would love to read it again.

Venetia is the name of that book in English as well. Damerell is one of her best heroes, and I love the dynamics of the characters in that book. The older rake and the slightly on the shelf but beautiful heroine who is old enough to make up her own mind about what she wants, with the witty but waspish younger brother. Lots of clever dialogue too. It is a good one. Frederica is another favorite of mine by her. I may have two copies of Venetia so email me your address and I will send it to you, if you don't mind reading it in English.
I have to go read your other post now.

We are really very similar, Ela. If I could get away to this special place in the mountains, that is my favorite place, but we can't do that very often, so my choice for #4 is the same as yours...also away from kids. And your answer to #5 is what I thought it would be. I don't understand these girls who get all gooey for "romance" when what works in the long run is being with your best friend...if there is chemistry, of course. BR is a bit of a romantic, but since he puts up with my flaws, I put up with his mushiness, lol! But, yeah, a man who lets you be you...that is worth everything. And who listens ( ... )
