In case you people are interested.

Character: Simba
Series: The Lion King
Version: After he’s grown up, but before he runs into Nala and returns to Pride Rock. (Basically the frat-boy years.)
Age: Uh….I don’t know. Young adult? *Fails*
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Appearance: Simba is a yellowish-golden color lion with an auburn mane and tuff at the end of his tail. His eyes are yellow, and his nose is a nice salmon pink color. The area around his mouth, under his belly, and his toes are a light tan color. He’s fully grown, which means that he’s fairly large. (Wikipedia says that some males weigh in at 550 lbs, to give you an idea.) I’m sure that if he stood on his hind legs, he would be taller than most people.

Personality: Simba is generally kind, but is also quite reckless and immature. He often fails to realize how dangerous a situation is until it’s too late, and the life he has in the jungle with Timon and Pumba influences his behavior greatly. While he was in his adolescent stage, he would constantly defeat both Timon and Pumba in various challenges, including bug eating, belching, etc. As an adult, he’s a bit more laid back and less of a hassle for Timon and Pumba to deal with.

Simba is also protective of his friends welfare, and proves this by attacking Nala when she tried to eat poor Pumba. (I’m taking Simba before this event, but it’s the only example I could think of.)

Abilities/Weaponry/Strengths: He’s a lion. Thus, claws, teeth, and size help him out in a fight. He’s also very brave, and is willing to put himself in dangerous situations to either help his friends or just out of plain curiosity.

Weaknesses: His bravery is definitely one of his weaknesses as well. Actually, it borders on the line of stupidity. He often fails to think before acting, and thus ends up in dangerous situations. As a cub, he managed to sneak himself and his friend Nala into the elephant graveyard, which was located outside the Pride Lands and was a home for the hyenas.
Thankfully, his father was able to save him. While growing up in the jungle, he would explore and push his limits by climbing dangerously high trees, and swimming off of high waterfalls without thinking of the consequences, to the dismay of Timon.

Simba also has issues surrounding his father’s death, which he still blames himself for. (At this point, he doesn’t realize that it was really Scar that killed Mufasa.) When the subject comes up, he becomes very defensive and irritated. He also has nightmares regarding the event.

History: Simba is the son of King Mufasa and Sarabi, and the destined King of the Pride Lands. After he was able to grow up a bit, Mufasa took him to the top of Pride Rock to show his son the extent of the kingdom. Simba, being the curious and mischievous little cub he was, asked about the “shadowy place,” but his father only told him that he was to never set foot there.

Disappointed with his father’s answer, he went to see his uncle, Scar. Wanting to get rid of Simba so he could take the throne, Scar told Simba what it was-an elephant graveyard. Simba then left, promising never to go there and to keep the conversation with his uncle a secret.
It turns out that Simba lied. After being told that the shadowy spot was an elephant graveyard, he became determined to check it out for himself. He managed to get Nala interested in the trip, though they could only go out if accompanied by Zazu, the King’s bird-brained informant. The young cubs were able to lose the hornbill, and they entered the graveyard. Zazu was able to catch up, but not before the trio was found by Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed, three hungry hyenas. The cubs led the hyenas on a chase, but came to a dead end. Just as the hyenas were about to attack, Mufasa dived down on them and saved the day. After returning to the Pride Lands, Zazu led Nala home while Mufasa gave his son a stern talking to, and explaining that even kings have fears. It ended up well, with Mufasa and Simba playing around and laughing before going home.

The next day, Scar takes Simba down to the gorge, telling him to wait while he set up a “surprise” for him and his father. Simba eagerly waits while playing around with a chameleon, practicing his roar, or lack thereof. It is at this moment that a large herd of wildebeests stampedes into the gorge. Simba is able to find a tree to climb to avoid the deathtrap, but it turns out it is unstable, and won’t hold long. It does hold long enough for Mufasa to arrive and rescue his son from the stampede. However, Mufasa has trouble climbing back up to save himself, and begs for his brother (who had been watching the whole time) to help him. Scar ends up throwing Mufasa back down, who dies either from the fall or the stampeding wildebeests. Simba doesn’t see what Scar has done, but only sees Mufasa fall. Scar is thus able to convince Simba that it was his fault, and tells him to run away. Simba obeys, and is chased out of the Pride Lands by Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed.

Simba runs through the desert, but doesn’t quite make it. He passes out, but is saved by Timon the meerkat and Pumba the warthog. They bring Simba to their home in the jungle and raise him up from a cub to an adult. To the dismay of Timon, Simba gets himself into trouble, diving off of waterfalls and climbing dangerous trees. As an adolescent, he’s still quite a handful, and challenges Pumba and Timon to belching and bug eating contests. He eventually grows up into an adult, still living in the jungle with his friends and enjoying life.
